Should Pr!nce colab album with George Benson? Should Pr!nce colab with George Benson because they are both musical geniuses and also JW's.?
If not... why?
If so...why haven't they at this point?

"If so...why haven't they at this point?" Because apparently they haven't wanted to.
Which should also answer the..."If not... why?" I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

WOW. What a concept. I actually like that idea. Their guitar styles would mesh very well together, I think.
But it would have to be an album filled with instrumentals only though. Since, you know, Prince don't like male vocalists. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

i, for one, would love that...Mr. Benson is another one of my heroes. i do sometimes wish Prince would do more collaborative works with people more on his level as a musician. Helping others get there is fine too, but i'd really love to hear him stretch with more higher caliber artists.

^More on his level?
As a guitarist, Prince is nowhere near Benson. As far as armonic knowledge is involved Prince, is in absolute diapers compared to Benson.

They would have to call the album "Snooze".... .

I know what you're saying in regards to an advanced Jazz guitarist with deep harmonic knowledge and endless improv skills compared to what's essentially a pentatonic based Rock player.... But, I think the "more on his level" comment may have been meant towards name recognition and other highly regarded musicianship. I too would like to see Prince get together more often with some other ALREADY establshed musical heavy weights...just for fun.

George Benson is bland and boring, the Kenny G of jazz guitar

I think that person was saying that is why a collab with Benson would be a good idea.
I think they meant previous collabs have not been at Prince's level My Legacy

Spot on. That's EXACTLY what I meant.
Regarding the possibility of the 'level' comment referring to another establishment star, I think it's highly improbable unless the likes of Chaka, Clinton, Sister Larry, etc... need some kind of boost.
When Prince collaborates with somebody he makes sure it's not a well established star so that he can hold all the reins and even pull the plug when he gets tired of the project halfway through.
If a big name being involved means being tantamount to Prince then it just WON'T happen.

You are welcome,it's my favorite Benson album a great collection of very nice songs and great guitar playing,George rips it on that album every song is great and Npg is supplying the funk and Michael Bland sounds very different then on Prince's albums
