You know what, after targeting 20ten exclusively in the markets that he did, I don't bother to speculate anymore.
It is what it is. Besides, Prince might be the first black person any of these poor folks have ever seen. It would be uplifting and enlightening for them.
You're a real fucker. You act like you own this place--ParanoidAndroid <-- about as witty as this princess gets!
I hope everyone pays more attention to Sags posts--sweething

Every major concert tour (except Madonna) makes sure to make a stop here in the Carolinas. Black and white artists alike so I am sure Prince is NOT the first black person us poor folks have seen. Prince has come to the North Carolina multiple times since the 80s and brings fans from all races, creeds and backgrounds to his shows. I am quite shocked myself that he came to NC so soon after NY and California but he has fans all over. His fans are everywhere, not only in the big cities. I am glad he realized that. In my simple opinion, he's barnstorming. I haven't seen a major tour promoter behind these past shows, he's calling around seeing what arenas are available and forging ahead. To deflect the " if he had better management etc.... " , it might be true that he could have set dates six months down the line with a promoter behind this tour but he wouldn't reap all of the profits. It's confusing for sure but he's doing what he loves, deal with it. Jeux Sans Frontiers |

My belief is that P & The NPG went to the Carolinas because of Shelby J and John Blackwell BEING from the Carolinas. I trust that P & The NPG will hit other major cities and or neighboring states (cities) before the W2A comes to a close. It's warming up, he's got the entire spring and summer months ahead. |

Wow. You obviosly know nothing about the Carolinas, especially North Carolina. Someone with some cash is buying and building these multi-million dollar homes on the Outer Banks and in the mountains (and NO, not ALL of them are purchased by out of staters). And Charlotte is a HUGE banking center for the US. AND, the Research Triangle Park is the 3rd largest biotech area in the country. Plus you have UNC, Duke, and NC State, 3 leading universities in research, all within 20 miles of each other. Cary NC, a suburb of Raleigh has THE highest per capita number of pHDs in the country. We are not stupid, nor are we poor. And I should add their is an AWESOME history of music in this state. We don't need musical uplifting or enlightenment cause we export it. |

Are you serious? I mean, seriously? The first black person? I have seen Prince 9 times, with 6 of those times being right here in NC. I have seen other talented black musicians, right here in NC. You think we are not a diverse state? And poor? Seeing as Duke University (located in Raleigh, NC) is ranked 9th in the NATIONAL University rankings.
Families here own personal homes, beach homes and mountain homes. Plenty of people with PHd's, many with Masster's.
Why would you say such things? -you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude! |

Finally someone in this thread stated the reason why Carolinas went down. Also, I believe he cancelled Alaska dates because His father passed away. |
