I think Britney/Gaga/Aguilera fans are way worse. Mostly because they are children. They constantly fight, over and over, ad nauseum. Have you seen the comments on any video by any female popstar at all? Or any female making pop MUSIC? Even Roisin Murphy has Lady Gaga hate on her videos?? What do the two have to do with each other??!?!?

At least Prince fans can make up after they squabble. Brit/Gag/Agui fans would sooner kill each other.

True but the Britney's and GAGA's grow out of the obessive/loon stage and then a new crop of younger more looney kids come into the scene.

Well I think you guys are underminding us all. If anything, we're actually, well most of us, intelligent b/c Prince lyrics and music is complicated to comprehend/understand at 1st listen. It takes dedication and/or several times to understand most of the things he plays or says, at least it did for me when I 1st became a fan.

For one thing, one has to be familiar with the human body, common lifely knowledge, big words, silly lingo, and global issues and people. Most of the time, things occur to a person later on that makes them say, "Hey! That's what Prince meant!" So I wouldn't wanna put retarded on the list...

Depends on which fans you are asking about: the serious ones or the ones here?

I think it's a testiment to Prince, the artist, that he has such a varied fan base. People of all different colours, creeds, nationalities, genders, sexualities, ages, incomes, religions, (you get the idea)... all love Prince. I'd argue that he has one of the most varied fan bases of all time. Long may it continue!

I have not been a member of this site for a long time, I think I joined back in Dec. 2010, but I think Prince fans on this site run the full spectrum. From casual fans, to those who worship him as their idol, to overly protective Prince fans, to those who are overly critical of him.

For the most part it seems his fans are very knowledgable about his music which is what i enjoy. There are some posters who do such a excellent job of showcasing and critiquing his music/albums/movies, I am thinking they need to to be apart of his management or PR team.

Overall Prince should be grateful for his fan base, because regardless of how much some fans criticize him they are still willing to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to see him in concert, which puts money is his pockets.

1. crazy - pleasantly disturbed

2. perverted - keen on sex

3. retarded - sometimes their lights are on, but no one's home

4. pessimistic/overly sarcastic - rather negative with a wicked sense of humour

5. compassionate - tolerant

Yes they are mixed bunch.

As for MJ fans, which do count I get the feeling they're somewhat more gentle.

I've been amazed at the time some orgers have spent helping out complete strangers. I've seen evidence of it in threads and I've experienced it first-hand several times, sometimes when I've had reason to ask for a favour or sometimes simply when someone has offered something based on a post I've made somewhere.

imo, the "Pessimistic/Overly Sarcastic" crew are just as misunderstood as the loveable loons.

I completely agree... We love to hate one another but are here for the same reasons.

In my opinion: Prince fans love to multiply (both literally and not;-) )

Im ALWAYS telling my friends to listen to Prince and a couple did and got REALLY HOOKED!

& or loyal to a fault like me. I'll admit, in my eyes Prince can do no wrong when it comes to music. Everything else, not so much. He's human like you or I and makes mistakes and mis-speaks like anyone else.

You gotta be 1/2 crazy to be a fan of P's now-a-days because he's not mainstream and 'casual' fans or non-fans think he's a freaky-freak or straight out 'weirdo' which is fine with me ... LoL
