My parents always liked Prince. In fact it was them who got me into him. I have memories of listening 2 it in France all the time in the summer when I was young. Although they arent intersted in him anymore they will always have time for him. As does my younger sister who always defends him cuz of me.

I've been to MANY Prince concertw with my Mom going back almost 20 years.

my first prince concert was in the 3rd grade, and my step-dad took me till this day i blame him for my obsession but my family all like him. they were all born and raised in mpls, as was i...so it really only makes sense...maybe i shouldnt say that...since i do know people who were born and raised here..who cant stand him too

some of my folks know i dig p, and they really don't care 2 much. my dad always sez, "he's cool, but he's a weird little dude!"

my mom wuz a bit of a p fan, i guess...my dad told me that "darling nikki" wuz her fave song, but 2 bad that she passed away a while back. maybe we coulda drooled over the brotha together, u know...

They didn't know what to think at first (in the early 80s), but now they have much respect for the master musician!

my dad doesn't think much of Prince...my mom always just happens to be by the venue when Prince is in town. if she sees a crowd, she'll roll down the window and ask someone what the crowd is waiting for, when they say "Prince," she knows i'm in the area, somewhere...same thing if the local news does a quick blurb about the show, she tells whoever is in the room that her son is down in that crowd...

My mom loves Prince, she thinks he has the cutest ass she's ever seen.

My Dad rated him from the start. But I see them worry when they realise hes my fav lol

Dad-really only knows him for Purple Rain and alot of makeup...worried I'd turn up the same!
Brother-Strong appreciation for him artisically but not a huge fan...perferes the songs covered by other artists (example "When U Were Mine", "Love..Thy Will Be Done")

Ma, dad, & brother love him. my aunt thinks he's cool, but still says "bambi" is homophobic (she's been sayin' this since it first came out). My sis and rest of my close family thinks he's alright (more into his 80s stuff, but can tolorate his recent stuff).

My mum has always LOVED the song "Cream".

My dad likes "Let's Go Crazy".

They recognise him as a great musician. My mum thinks he has an amazing voice (after I played her "The Other Side of the Pillow" from ONAL).

My aunt thinks he's "a beautiful man" (after she saw the Rave DVD)

My sister is trying to get into him but she hasn't really discovered him yet although she thinks he's funny and loves "Housequake" (especially "everybody shut up, listen to the band!"). She likes the music but I don't think she can see past some of his corniness yet to appreciate him fully.

My girlfriend, who might as well be family, likes Prince a hell of a lot and has a few of his Cds, but is not as into him as I am.

Me & my mother giggle, scream, laugh, blush & speculate over Prince 2gether...
My step dad thinks he's alright...'s Purple Rain.
Grandmother 's her eyes whenever I mention his name & starts talking about MIKE JACKO since that is HER Prince
but still supports my love 4 him!

His Talent always got Props from My Family.I have some Members that Like His Stuff&others that didn't but it was always about His Music nothing else.

My dad likes him as a musician, though i've never convinced him to go to a gig, which is a shame cause he used to take me to see various people when i was a kid.he knows he's missing out though.My sister is a big fan, basically she's mental on him.My mother used to like him, up until the point i started to.then she decided to hate him, call him ugly and say he looks, to her "like her vision of a rapist" but that's my oddball, evil mother for you.

we don't get along.

on the plus side my wife Fiona likes him, and really respects him.Though he doesn't do anything for her in the looks department,which makes me feel good.

My parents tried to forbid me from litening to and buying his stuff. Was actually quite exciting coz in my house, I had to be an 'underground' fan.

They reckoned he was evil (they're born again) ... in fact, I remember the youth leader at the church (that I USED to go to) threatening to kick anyone who went to see Prince out of the youth fellowship.

My brother is 5 years younger than me and I introduced him to Prince when he was 8 and he got into it big style, although I don't think he listens at all today. My mum was really interested in his clothes and his looks and we'd discuss these things, pretty cool. We all went to our first Prince concert together in 1990.My dad didn't take much notice, he just used to do this , 'cos I would always hog the video watching my Prince tapes.

My whole family take the piss out of him. They all call him a little puff and say that he can't sing.

When I was in bed about ten years ago, I could hear lovesexy coming through my floor. My mum and step dad had put on the lovesexy live video and sat there watching (i went down to investigate) my mum later admitted to quite enjoying it especially the Piano section. But they still think he is weird.

My brother like "The Greatest Romance Ever Sold" and "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" but other than that he hates him.

They don't know, they are stupid.
