Download SDP 2.0 (or higher) from http://get.to/SDP or http://sdp.ppona.com/ , install it, start it, then click "open", then enter this URL:

Beware: you cannot download this .wmv file with a download manager like ReGet etc., the MSN server recognises you're not using the windows media player and will only send you a small file that's nothing more than a link to the .wmv file -- the same link as shwn above. You NEED to use software like SDP which spoofs this and sends the "correct" headers to the MSN server.

(Trust me, this is EASY to do. It's much harder to write than to do it, and once you get the hang of SDP you can use it to download many more .asf and .wmv files and the likes.)

Then use TMPGEnc to transfer this .wmv file into a VCD/SVCD or whatever you like to use in your DVD player.

Just watched this on 300k and the sound is so good! It's crystal clear.

Not sure about the camera work but I like this clip overall.

Nice subtle re-working of the track, especially those off-beat stabs.

Tried the dowload option via the SDP software, I get

HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Access Denied

Anyone got a clue how to get round this?

I think the camera work is a stylised approach by Prince (at least for this song). It gives it a rough sorta doco-like feel to it rather than the smooth camera-on-dolly rails-and-crane like look to it that most big budget concert films have.

Don't quite know however if i could handle quick edits and shaky cameras for the whole damn show though...surely the slower piano ballads would tone the camera work down!!

(And we are assuming the whole show will be released - Master Yoda does say 'Never assume')

The frame is smaller now (thanx) and it works much better. Industry need 2 reckaniiizze indeed. But, if they don't, 'em ... NOW cue the clip maestro.
