Does anyone else remember an assassination attempt on Prince? I kind of have a vague memory of one in 1992. It was while he was on stage and someone pulled a water gun or something. Can anyone corroborate?

I remember thinking that the world was coming to an end, and spent the evening imagining life without anymore prince music. Sad but it does beg the question, what if you knew there would be no more music? I am not saying what if he was assassinated cus that is just wrong, but what if one day Prince woke up and decided to become a double-glazing salesman instead of a musician?

Sorry, I digress, the questions:

Does anyone recall any Prince assassination attempts?

and

What would we sorry soles do if there were no more prince music to look foreword too?

I remember hearing a story about a show in Houston that someone was found with a gun, but they weren't pointing it anyone, including Prince, in particular.
I'm certain the security took the gun and threw the dork out.
BTW, change the title of your thread. He has enough trouble as it is.

according to the DOW book, while Prince is in Atlanta on the Lovesexy tour, there were several deaths threats made towards him.

Thought provoking question that all, I even put in the bit about quitting the music industry to calm a little. The reason I asked one question after the other is because I remember the feeling of loss when I heard the rumour. It is not bad to talk about someone’s death; it is bad to kill them. Don't you ever ask yourselves, what if I died tomorrow? Still, if you cant handle a little discussion that is a little risky then have the thread closed.

I have a cut out in a scrap book from when I was first getting into Prince back in 91/92 from the Sun "newspaper" sying that someone was found in his concert with a gun and Prince was shaken by it.

Mind you, it also said that Troy Beyer was expecting his child, so take a pinch of salt with that.

2nd part of the questino - I have thought what it would be like when he goes, and sad to say, my first reaction is usually - great now we get our hands on the vault. Sad I know.

If no one has strong objections, I'm going to lock the thread because it is a somewhat sensitive matter and I'm not sure it is something we want to see on the Org.
