Prince Live from Las Vegas, were you there?

What was the playlist set?
Were there many cameras filming this performance?
What were some of the Highlights of the show?
What would you do for a Live DVD of the show, since the buzz Is Prince will be delivering 2 the famz and the masses a worldwide release of the "One Night Alone" Disc Set and DVD!?
What would be an ultimate Live Show Playlist for U 2 b released?

CHECK OUT A LIVE CLIP FROM THE SHOW... ON MSN.COM and search for 'PRINCE'.

I wondered why he was so 'on' that night. Now I can see what he was trying to accomplish. This was a stellar gig. One of the finest nights of music ever experienced. I would be so grateful if this entire gig was released to DVD...even without the aftershow. I saw small handheld cameras flying by all night long but I thought' "..as usual just more home movies for Prince's collection."

Here's the setlist:

The Rainbow Children
Pop Life
Xenophobia/Prince and the Band
Power Fantastic
Money Don't Matter 2Night (snippet)
The Work
Push and Pull - Nikka Costa
Purple Rain
The Ride
1+1+1=3/Love Rollercoaster/Housequake
Question of U
Strollin'/U Want Me
Gotta Broken Heart Again
Strange Relationship
Pass the Peas
Whole Lotta Love
Family Name
Take Me With U
Everlasting Now

break

The Beautiful Ones (snippet)
Adore
Diamonds and Pearls
Condition of the Heart
Under the Cherry Moon
The Beautiful Ones
Nothing Compares 2 U
The Ladder
Starfish and Coffee
Sometimes it Snows in April
All the Critics Love U in Las Vegas/Alphabet St./777-9311/The Stick
Days of Wild

God I wish i had seen that show...esp when he plays the Ride. With that band, must've sounded great. That live Work was the best I've seen him in years. Brother is still funky.

It was stellar. The light show was also fantastic especially during Pop Life and Whole Lotta Love (very psychedelic greens and yellows) and the Aladdin is great venue - every seat is perfect line of site and very comfortable. He did that weird 'Ozzy' dance but before that he did something called the Vegas Shake or something like that. Anybody remember that one?

Sheila E played Drums on the Ride.

Look for an in depth review in the next Uptown Magazine being printed Feb. 15th.

funkin great show, I was just telling someone I thought that was one of the best "Main Shows" & now this newz, incredible. I hope he delivers the whole show not just one or two trax ala Dorothy Parker from the amazing HOB show. Maybe the best two shows I've ever seen him do, HOB aftershow & Vegas from Dec. The version of Push n Pull w/ Nikka rocked too and then Power Fatastic, Good Lawd I could go on & on... suffice it to say our Ears & Eye's will be in for a treat.

That setlist truly is a perfect setlist for a DVD release, as well. Good mix of great new songs, old songs, and hits.

Plus it is different enough from the CD boxset to be warranted a release.

Yes, at least 3 from what I saw...

What were some of the Highlights of the show?

The entire show was great, especially when he managed not to trip over his train or get his mic caught in those loop thingies on his shirt - P got tricks, y'all... smile

What would you do for a Live DVD of the show, since the buzz Is Prince will be delivering 2 the famz and the masses a worldwide release of the "One Night Alone" Disc Set and DVD!?

I would thank him from the bottom of my heart...
"disk set & DVD??" What does that mean since we already have the album? confused If he repackages ONA-L! w/ the DVD, I'm gonna be SO irritated! stfu

What would be an ultimate Live Show Playlist for U 2 b released?

Nighttown & Bataclan... wink

Let me be the first to say SHUT MY MOUTH!!!

I just checked out the video clip - they had at least 5 cameras going (from my count), and here I was thinking they were on the cheap w/ it... no no no! Glad to see it was covered correctly, looks pretty good. I'm shocked I didn't notice the camera person on stage, they had an angle on the audience the whole time. Did I look okay? LOL... biggrin

So he must be really releasing this one, right? PLEASE, P!! How are people finding out about this clip? I didn't see it on the MSN home page but IT SHOULD BE THERE nod
