Could watch it over and over, but I refrain from doing so because I don't want it to get "old" to me, you know?

But let's see, I think about prolly 10 times at most, probably not even that though

yeahthat I don't usually go back to a movie unless I really get the urge to see it and have forgotten some of the details. I'm not counting catching a few scenes when it's on tv.

I don't understand how somebody could watch The Beautiful Ones and say to themselves, "Well, I guess I never need to watch this movie again"

That performance alone changed my life nod

Still catch some highlights when it's on VH1.

50 times, mostly in the early 90s when I was getting into Prince, but lately I have watched Under the cherry Moon about 15 times in the past year. Its really growing on me. I can pretty much dialogue all of Morris's lines in Purple Rain though and most of Prince's.

Owning all 3 movies on one DVD set and the 2oth anniversary edition DVD also mean I can watch it whenever I want. Its sad when the film works of one person are in 3 DVDs. (I also have a copy of SOTT, although just the average quality Dutch edition, nothing average about that show though).

My number of viewing times can always change, thanks to this

I bought it in 2008 on special for $18.95 NZD (About $15 USD). The quality is excellent and the DVD's have all the music videos and extras as well. Its a Warner Brothers set, has anyone else seen this item or owns it. This is a Region 4 set.

Ah! I wish I had this. I have Purple Rain on DVD and I want UTCM. I only saw Graffiti Bridge once but I'd see it again if I had this set.

First concert: January 18, 2011 & then February 7, 2011 at MSG. Best concerts of my life.

Thats the idea, the first two movies are so good, Purple Rain is worth the price of the set itself and Graffiti Bridge is almost like the giveaway. I would say I have only watched it once, and parts of it, but the UTCM disc must be nearly worn out. That Bat scene never fails to generate laughs, along with the wrekka stow.

All the way through? Once. The film's not good enough to watch all the way through again.

It is for the lines and the musical numbers. Those are worth repeated viewings.

I've repeated some of the songs, but usually I'd prefer to watch Syracuse. (And I rarely watch that all the way through, I can't stand God Vocal)

I think the lighting is so poor in the Syracuse video, I'd rather watch Purple Rain.

SOTT is much better than Syracuse.

see now I like it when people are honest.

I am being honest about only seeing it about 7 times.

And, actually quite charitable too. I think the real number is maybe 4 times or so.

And I only watched it with friends (Prince used to be big back in the day) because everyone wanted to see the scenes with Appolonia's tits.

It really is quite a bad movie, saved mainly by great music and performances.

I actually believe you cuz it's you wink

i was surprised to see that it was on tv during the daytime... have seen it too many times to count... but i just can't seem to click away when it's on.. it pulls me in everytime!!

after reading this question i had to answer because not only was the movie playing in the background... just read a new article about the soundtrack:

True. Watching Syracuse pretty much is watching a black screen for two hours.

Don't feel bad. I've probably watch GB more times than Purple Rain too. I need a good laugh (and a peek at Jill Jones) sometimes.
