I have to say these so-called rumours seemed to have passed me by... the first I heard of any of this was in this very thread.
There are no rumours. It's just a bunch of cry babies who've seen it said in a couple of threads and let their imaginations run away with them. |

Yeah I am at a loss. What rumors...? |

I know you mad ever since a house fell on your sister but goddamn can you please take a break?
I know HatrinaHaterwitz replied herself, but I just want to say:
This is a scaring case of bullying on the internet. Please stop it.
I actually thought it was really clever. You do realise it's a Wizard of Oz / Wicked Witch refererence, yes?
I'm not interested in whatever spat they were having, I just thought as far as not-particularly-serious trading blows go, that one was pretty funny.

To me Prince owes nobody nothing, he makes music, you either like it or don't. He doesn't need to explain anything else. Business Manager to Cat Glover. |

Okay, didn't realise that, Wizard of Oz isn't as big a thing in folk psychology in my country.
My relpy was more aimed at exelerators summary of hatrinas post, though. |

Fair enough.
The irony is that, because of your post, I felt compelled to go back and actually read what Hatrina had written, which was actually particularly insightful, so xlr8r's loss if they honestly didn't bother to read it.
Sadly though, if we're going to start hunting down bullies on this site, that's one of the tamer examples I've seen (not saying it's ok, just seems an odd place to start).

You may be right. For me the limit is not whether you call someone an idiot for having certain points of view, but if you base your ridicule on negative prejudice about the other person as a person - instead of on that person's words. |

i guess to an extent P loves to cause controversy, he always has since 'Dirty Mind'. So you could argue that he helps to fuel the rumours through his art. If his ethos is that everything you need to know about him is in the lyrics then you'd say he was 100% bi-sexual i.e. his style of dress in dirty mind, the man/woman symbol first used in Purple Rain, I would die 4 u [i'm not too woman, i'm not too man..], Camille, the lyric to Anna Stesia etc.
Likewise he fuels the debate/rumours about his love life by being high profile with his latest girl i.e. Bria, Misty etc.
Following that arguement should P have any right to complain about fans speculating / spreading rumours? I guess it's a dilemma faced by many other high profile people out there. Personally It still is about the music and I'd rather speculate as to whether he's still 'got it' or not.
The lyrics on I would die 4 u means that he transcends gender-that he is everything and more-he's not syaing he's multi gender |
