then what about Lust U Always(instrumental)?

Because this sped up Baconskinish tune is the bizzness. Baconskin-like except it has the added chicken scratch, new wave synth hook throughout. It seems a cousin to Possessed instrumental but this one is more aggressive and I like that.

And as its states "instrumental" I would love ot hear a vocal version

intrigued.

The 15 seconds of it I've heard have vocals. There's a longer, instrumental version?

They are about as similar as the 2 versions of Possessed.

I figured as much. But only 15 seconds? Is there a longer vocal version that got out?

And Shro..whats he saying in those vocals? LOL I started singing made up lyrics to it when it came on doing talk/sing verses after each new wave synth meodly thinking thats how a vocal would do.

As a songwriter myself it happens.

It easy to hear a composition and imagine what the melody of the lyrical arrangement would sound like. I do it quite often.

Its funny because the music to this and the music to the 15 second snippet version have totally different music . It is almost like they are two totally different songs. This is the track he tried to submit to Robert Palmer am I correct?

Supposedly he gave it to him and it was turned down at the time. Pretty sure it had to have been the vocal verson. I am trying to find the website that holds good info about Prince music; however that link is always hard 2 find
