Apparently, there are still people thinking Prince is behind the Prince_Live twitter account. I figured it would be a good idea to get some information on who on Twitter is real and who isn't.

Let me start by saying:

Prince does NOT use Twitter.

But how about SheilaEdrummer, doctorfink, maceoparker and therealshelbyj?

I think it's a good idea to get a comprehensive list now. Does anyone know who is real and who isn't?

I don't use Twitter, and have no interest in it, but I was just curious how you can make such a concrete statement.

For the most part you can't, but after a while from the content one should be able to tell.

Well, based on the posts the fake Princes make you can figure out they are not real (they say things Prince would never say) and the only one that could be the real Prince (or his management behind it) seemed to be Prince_Live. That was until this thread made obvious it was a fake account as well: http://prince.org/msg/7/349388

And given that Prince pronounced the Internet dead not so long ago, it's highly unlikely he will ever join.

Further proof is that most celebrities (not all of them) have a check mark behind their names to verify it's a real account. None of the fake Princes has that.

I don't use it either Just never could get into it Now FB is another issue-it has to be from the devil's workshop
