I love strange relationship, If I was your girlfriend and Adore. One of those 3 is the best on album.

For me its between If I Was Your Girlfriend, The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker and I Could Never Take the place of your man. I still can't pick one

So hard to pick one , it's kinda my favorite.

I could never take the place of your man or if i was your girlfriend or adore would be the best. but so is slow love and play in the sunshine

I always hear this album as the Camille Project & the Dream Factory (now that we can put a name to it)

sign o the times, the album, is pretty good but I wonder, contrary to the love for a potential tripple record crystal ball, if it would have had purple rain like success as a single record

i still think it wouldn't have had the same commercial appeal as Purple Rain. And i like SOTT more then PR. But U got the look and the title track are the only ones with good commercial appeal to them. ICNTTPOYM is fantastic too, kinda sad but still a top 10 hit. Still, i dont think commercially it would have been as big as PR

When I saw that question I was like: "Adore!!" But then I realized The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Housequake, Forever in my Life, If I Was Your Girlfriend and Strange Relationship are on there as well and now I just don't know...

it has in many magazines and newspapers etc been getting a higher rate than Purple Rain. Many reviewers put it as one of the best albums of all time. It and Hot thing is not crap. I love the desperate voice on It, and the james brown of Hot Thing. But you're probably right. That would make an even better classic, but leaving Starfish & Coffee out of this must be because you want it on another album, as it is probably one of his biggest classics. Kind of like Rasperry Beret 2. A good follow up that is.

Take away it's gonna be a long boring night, It, and Hot Thing...and then add:

Crystal Ball, Old Friends 4 Sale(orignal), and Witness 4 The Prosecution.

If he had done that..the 45 leg of the SOTT Tour would still be going on to this day.

ICNTTPOYM is also top shelf but not quite the perfection of those two.
