God Created Is it me or is And God Created Woman one of the snazziest and underappreciate tunes Prince ever created? Why wasn't it a single? It works much better in isolation outside of the Symbol album though I must say. The album accentuates a middle east flavour in it that otherwise melds much more subtly..

Agreed, and agreed. "And God Created Woman" is gorgeous, and pretty damn good lyrically... "Love 2 The 9s" is sooo well-arranged, and the orchestra swelling up during the chorus is lovely. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yes indeed..."And God Created..." is defiently an overlooked song that was overlooked 4 its obvious statement:
"GOD CREATED WOMAN"...  Its one of Prince's best underrated joints.

Love 2 the 9's and And God Created Woman are probably my 2 favorites from that album. They're perfect.
And I remember on the Sexy MF video where they made it out that The Continental and God Created would be the 4th and 5th singles. I think they would've done much better than the ones he selected instead. | |

Hell yes. I've always loved that tune, it is one of the few
reasons I still play the o(+> album sometimes. Although I'm thinking of burning "D&P" and o(+> both on a cdr, and make both 8 song albums, like the 80's albums he did. That way you can just select the 8 coolest songs on the albums and leave the awful early 90's sounds off. I think that might just change my negative view of both those albums a bit. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps | |

i have been listening 2 this song ALOT lately. along with Morning Papers,these r the 2 PERFECT songs on the  LP

It is my absolute favorite song on that album and in the top ten of my favorite songs by any artist. This is why I love the ORG. Finding like-minded individuals is finding home. I love you guys!! By the way, I also love The Continental and Melt With You. Except for Three Chains O' Gold, this album is flawless. | |

I played this song on guitar to introduce it to my band. At first I didn't tell them it was a Prince song. They loved it! Once they knew it and played it. I told them, but they didn't believe me. I had to play Prince's version to proove it.

You're so right, at first I ignored this song cuz of the title, but right now I'm listening to it and it's VERY cool... Another part of a great album, my personal favorite Prince album. Personally . I think we are all Boring with No Lives cause all we do is talk about Prince,Criticize and Gossip. I need a Horny Man is what I Need and probably so do most of yas.
