I happen to like the tune and I would guess much of the song's success has also to do with the lyrics on this one.

The poppy funkyness my friend and it's mighty catchy. Do u prefer the original version of it? The bluesy one?

ive only heard two versions, the original version from the album and the extended... which isnt much different, far as i remember. only gave it one listen a while back.

and i know its funky but, just, the way it sounds bothers me. its not the funkiness that i dont like, its the sound of the instruments. and.. lol its really hard to explain. the way he sings "you dont have to be beautiful" like "you dont. have. to be. beau. ti. ful." combined with the higher voice bothers me lol and his voice doesnt bother me in any other song.

well i guess just skip the whole song altogether then since it's dealing with his voice tone & even the instrumentation. 1st time I heard of anyone not liking "Kiss"

yeah, i usually do. its basically the only song by him that ive skipped over halfway through because i couldnt listen anymore o_O

most of his not so spectacular songs can just fade into the background and be... background music lol but this one sticks out, and its hard to even ignore like that.

You just might be!! Although ive only just been able to listen to Kiss again after Altiyan Childs tried to sing it on the Aussie version of the X Factor show!!! My god he failed miserably & I really went off it for a while but im back onto it again now so it's all good!!!!!

i love this song, my heart skips a beat when the intro starts BUT when it's live his dad robotdancing really must stop. it's not sexy but very funny. i'm up 4 funny/hysterical but not sure this is the affect prince wishes to create

Too bad you don't like it at all. Try giving it some time and let it grow to you, that works with Prince songs quite often. If not, well, you don't have to like it, but I'm afraid you'll be missing out a lot. I think it's a brilliant song and it's one of my all-time favorites.

It's alright but it's not one of his better jams. It starts out good and then goes downhill. The song is saved by the video.

Nothing could be more horrid and embarrassing than Tom Jones doing Kiss. And not only did Tom Jones act like it was his song he had a top 5 hit, with it getting much more higher in the charts than Prince's orignal masterpiece ever did.

You should hear any live version of Kiss from 1987 to 1991, if you haven't. They're awesome.
