Many artists do or did drugs. Why should Prince be granted the permission of his faMs to do the same?

BTW, I personally don't think he went farther than dropping a couple of X pills and snorting the usual couple of lines.

Allegedly!!!..personally i think Prince had reached a tipping point where he needed to evaluate the excesses in his life, there probably was a moment be it off his face or otherwise that made him sit up and take stock, we all do it at some point, It's called growing up and being responsible .In the past three years i myself have given up smoking and have not set foot in a pub for a year and a half...

We all need to grow as a person and constantly living the high life can only have a detrimental effect on you well being.... ..anyway what happened that night?...

Right. Anyone can do or has done drugs- but Prince has always shown how clean living he is and I thought that he was- I myself, have never done any drugs ( i did smoke pot ONE time at fourteen and that was absolutely the end of that!) it IS possible for someone to go through life not doing drugs and I thought Prince was one of those people- that's all-

Whilst there's no concrete proof about any of this, rumours over the years have persisted. Of course, that in no way makes it true, but it in no way makes it a lie either.

According to popular rumour (mainly due to what the Mojica sisters claimed at least) after the death of Prince and Mayte's son, he hit the bottle and the pills pretty hard.

I'm not making a judgement on the guy one way or the other - God only knows what Prince and Mayte had to deal with emotionally. Nobody wishes that kind of thing on any parent.

He also said that it was hard fro him to express his feelings. That was about the extent of the conversation. He never said anything like that again. The next day was very strange because he seemed embarassed. It's possible that the call was drug-induced, though I had never know him to do anything but drink wine"

You're welcome, I recently got the book and i'm near the end so it was lying right next to me so I thought i'd type it up. It is creepy isn't it? The image of paisley park being all dark and candle lit and ingrid chavez hiding in the darkness with prince roaming around gives me chills lol

There is no concrete evidence and these rumours if examined seem to fall apart.

The night when Susan Rogers saw him with dilated pupils.. erm IT WAS DARK with only a couple of candles, and that makes your pupils dilate!

Susan interpreting that as 'beings on drugs' means she doesn't understand this basic human response to darkness.

The reporter who claimed Cat told him she gave Prince extascy, firstly why should we believe anything a reporter tells us and secondly he was told that by an ex (disgruntled) employee...

Same principal applies to the Matt Fink comfirming some drugs story.

I'm not saying I don't think Prince never did drugs (we can never be 100% sure) but based on the very flimsy 'evidence' above plus that fact that up to and always after he has always sung AGAINST drug taking (and didn't he sack a bodyguard for taking drugs?), it seems very very unlikely.

The whole situation is just like say a Christian singer making albums promoting christianity and some reporter telling us on one night that singer denounced their religion and worshipped the devil then carried on being christian again, I think that would seem very unlikely too.

I love how everyone puts it as he doing Ecstacy ONCE. I'm sure it was more than that, it just was one time in which there was a story publicly known about.

Anyone that thinks Prince hasn't ever tried or had a phase of doing certain drugs is in denial.
