But some of you who were there, can you pls. tell me who played the 2nd guitar on WHOLE LOTTA LOVE??? I mean, Prince apparently was playing the lead / solo guitar, but who played the rhythm guitar in the meantime? Hope that somebody can help. BTW that show was great...

I was there, but I don't recall. Certainly not any "special guest" on stage that night (except Prince...)
What a night that was...

absolutely it's the bass he hears on that tune not a second guitar for sure. I have to say prince fingers were moving so fucking fast on that guitar that you had the feeling at a stage that several players were playing it!!!

I just realized that I hear my voice several times on the bootleg..."olalalala" it's me. Sorry I couldn't help it!

That wasn't a bass guitar, it was Renato on the keys! By the way the nighttown version is even better!

A lot of times Artist who release live material will enhance that material in the studio before releasing it. If in fact there is another guitar on this particular track, Prince himself may have overdubed it in the studio to give the track the fullness or sound that he was looking for.
