Prince on stage with...?

You may remember a few years ago when Billy Joel and Elton John toured together and played piano on the same stage. If Prince were to perform on stage on an equal footing - not him as master of ceremonies - with another artist and a backing band, who would you choose and what instruments would they be playing? Also, who would be the lead vocal?

I don't know why but I'd like to see P up there with Eddie van Halen (both on guitar) or George Michael (P on keyboards and George on lead vocals). Freddie Mercury would be cool if he were still alive to see who could be the campest!

Prince and Paul Mccartney, and throughout the show, they would trade lead vocals, and trade off on guitar, bass, piano, and maybe drums even, it would be a four hour show, prince and paul's material alternating back and forth, and it would be called the the big uncut P.P. tour.

Can only see this concept working with someone whom Prince admires & feels comfortable with. Also they`d have 2 be a musical equal so my choice would be Stevie Wonder!!

"not him as a master of ceremonies"?

That ain't happening. Wherever Prince is he always thinks everybody is -at least- second to him.

That's what happens when you have an extra-high self-concept.

Prnice would prolly only invite women to play on stage with him, but besides the opposite sex, I would say Stevie Wonder or the typical Larry Graham

Yes, at 19, I finally saw the Revolution, a legendary band. And I talked to Wendy!!! biggrin In addition to seeing Prince, I have now lived life. Thank you Purple People!!

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I just want to see him on stage with Sheila, Sonny, Eric and Atlanta doing a New Power Madhouse thing, playing jazzy funky instrumental shit.

Or Sonny and Michael as the New Power Trio, no jiggery pokery, just rocking out and playing da fucking blooz!

None of this special guest back patting wankery.

I would like to see Prince do some songs onstage with French singer Mylene Farmer. That would be hot, hot, hot.

Oh yes ! i love David Bowie. Another stranger. First, i've thought of Michael Jackson, but afterwards.... NO ! Now, i know why rejected MJ's proposition to performance with him on This Is It. This would be a titan's battle.
