I like to think of Prince as a man who possesses gentle strength which translates to other aspects of who he is like his mannerisms. I find his gentleness to be genuine even though I don't know him personally.
Yeah that's pretty much what I was gonna say. I don't see the whole "feminine mannerisms." I see gentle, shy, innocent, sweet, sexy...that's what gets to a woman's heart and P knows that! That dance routine is just what it is, some folks wouldn't do it and like to put a label on it or stereotype it, but I've learned, labels aren't cool. Neither are stereotypes. So...I take it with a grain of salt. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol |

It's just his personality. And after all the women he's probably gotten, I doubt he's homosexual anyways xD And together we'll stare into silence. |

Hello,
Mr. has always been this way sense he was a young man. The time of era the he grew up in the men had charm, charisma, very shivery & grace about themselves which is considered today as feminine mannerisms. In the 50, 60, 70's that's how a lot of them were with added swag to themselves being kool as well. It just a part of who he is, every sense he was younger.
Shivery? Seriously? How about "chivalry" ..... Shivery. Good lord, people.
Thank you Jakeasaurus, yes that is the one, typing to fast. But thank you for posting the correct one. U R NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE NOR R U PERFECT!! |

He is always going to do something to put people off balance just a little

Really? Someone was laying on top of his ass when he was wearing THOSE pants?
BTW who designed "naked ass" pants for Prince? His ass were sticking out for real or it was made of fabric that matched his skin? |

That whole Gett Off performance was gay heaven. I remember there being a couple guys on stage who were stretching their thongs out to the limit.
Mercy.

Let's be accurate, there was material over the ass cheeks, like some kind of sheer panthose type material. |

If this is only image that was created for marketing purposes then it must be hard to keep up with this image while in public.
Although I noticed in recent years that he became more relaxed, but he is still little bit feminine but as always he is gorgeous and hot.
I definitely think he exaggerates feminine mannerisms for the "Prince" brand. The tell tale sign is how he and Morris or Jerome will kind of jump into this femme character when they joke around. If you check out some press conferences of Prince, like his announcement of using his name again, there is no trace of feminine mannerism. It's partly a schtick.
In my opinion! |

It wasn't material. Prince's ass is naturally silky like that.

I can't take it anymore This shit's hilarious:lol: If Prince sucked a man's dick on national t.v. Y'all would still be in denial. skeet, skeet, skeet.
But you don't understand, sucking dick is good exercise for the vocal cords; and swallowing helps lubricate the vocal cords as well. Helps with the falsetto when singing.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go sing "Jack U Off" at Karaoke.

I would have loved to have been there for the discussion when this coreography was being planned out. "...Now, at this point, Damon and I are going to crawl on the floor between your open legs. Tony, I want you and Kirk to stand over us and move our hips up and down like you're sodomizing us. Cool?"

you guys are funny.
I personally don't believe that Prince is gay because he made his wife pregnant.
And secondly, his sex life in his bedroom is his business only, and doesn't make him less talented. [Edited 1/12/11 21:12pm] |

I agree. When you see him in interviews and press conferences, he doesn't come across as feminine or androgynous at all.
I think starting out in the business in the era of disco and the androgynous era of the '80s defined his image, even after the androgyny of the '80s faded. Plus, being of smaller stature, it's much easier for him to coyly play up the androgyny than, say, someone built like Shaquille O'Niel.
I still remember some of my older sister's friends giving me shit for being a Prince fan in the post Purple Rain era. People would always make comments about him being effeminate and gay; but then I'd look at people they listened to like Poison, Cinderella, and Motley Crue, and they looked more like women than Prince ever has. Talking about pants with open ass, I personally like much better his other pants that are open on the sides and shows his hips and chain around his waist. More sexy and more left to imagination.
I remember he wore those pants in "Sign O Times" movie. That what I call HOT. |

I must agree!!! How about those pants on the Thieves in the Temple video? Good lord...HOT, HOT, HOT, plus the way he was moving when he's in the alley, rubbing all over himself. Hmmmm, yes Prince is sexy! LOL Those pants with the ass out I just have to love it, because only Prince can get away with that. And that's what makes it so amazing, that he has the guts to do it...he really is something special! That man... Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol |

Yeah, all 3 of the guys fell on top of each other in this like opposite direction routine while Prince does that scream. Too funny. I remember thinking "what does those guys feel like doing this routine with Prince and he has those pants on?" It was all totally shock value, the entire set and performance was just purely wild and sex driven! The look on Prince's face was..well...I can't describe it, but it says so much. Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol |

I pretty much agree there. Prince can be real manly at times, like when he talked to Tavis in 2009 and when he talked to Matt Lauer in 2004. Nothing about him was feminine. And his speaking voice definately manly and deep and sexy!! I think Prince has preserved the things he started with based on what the audience wants...women love the gentle side of him, just like we love him in heels. Imagine if he stopped? I'm not saying its all an act, but he uses it wisely. The gentleness, the shyness, the innocence....all that is sexy in Prince, and makes women want him. Same with MJ, they make you want them with their mannerisms! Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol |

Maybe this is what Tony M meant when he supposedly said he wanted to 'slap the black back into him' ! (paraphrasing). |

I just find great Prince's video, where he sings on December of 1979 live on some TV show.
The song was "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad". WOW..he is just amazing performing and looks so masculine. I love his hair back then and he was wearing HOT golden tight pants!!! |
