I thought about this yesterday. I think I could have hung out with P during early Parade era ( before the movie came out- his attitude prolly woulda sucked due to the failure of the movie when it came out lol )

but i think i definitely would have fit in with the P/Jerome/Brooks/Wally combo. clowning and being obnoxious.

He seemed to be in good spirits and really enjoying the fruits of his success, and if you notice. it was the first time in his career when he was starting to reveal himself and his sense of humor with the masses ( i feel when the movie bombed he reverted back to the reclusive image he painted himself to be)

out of any eras, this is the era i think we could have hung out and talked shit.

Present day Prince appears much more relaxed than any other era-Prince. ON stage but also OFF stage. Might have something to do with the JW thing being less visible.

I would hang out with Prince in any era, although the late 70's & early 80's would have been a bit howdy doody, I was only 5 in 1978!!!! That would have been a bit strange!!!!

The Diamonds & Pearls era 4 me, i love the whole Gangsta Glam look he was sporting then & he seemed quite happy during that period!!!!

The Prince from the For You era because we would be a similar age, so I could probably relate to him more.

Late-90s. That's when he was most interested in being a musician and discussing music. These days he says very little of interest of such things in interviews and I just don't get the vibe that he is very passionate about other artists' records either. Other than that, I probably wouldn't get along with him otherwise if I were to have serious discussions with him. I would constantly have to call him out on his nonsense when he'd start to talk about religion or politics.
