what does everyone think of this track?

i think its pretty kooky & funky...especially that lil bridgey part that pops up a couple of times where P yells "AAOWA!"

I try NOT to think about it.

I LOVE that song, I play it over and over. I like the burst of energy on it. The drums are cool. I like the guitar ("talk Habibi") and the lyrics ("can't leave the keys in my brand new car cuz U don't know it's wrong to steal,the devil's got U thinking he's invisible, but how U make U act is real (stupid)")

(That is what he sings right, invisible and not invincible ?)

Its bullshit,hell i wont even give it that much credit.

i think it was a very powerfull song.strange some of u don't like it.

It's basically just an ad for NPGMC ("all the beautiful ones are with me"), but it's still fun and full of energy. It might not be his best stuff, but it serves its purpose - just imagine someone who hasn't heard anything from Prince since Purple Rain and they stumble across this little ditty!

there's one moment in that song that moves me to an occasional listen...when he says "looking for something to make you organise" the vocals grind so beautifully it makes me wanna punch the air

The chorus makes this song so silly and unlistenable. If it
had a different chorus [i.e. not the "I am the cybersingle,
that is me, come n get my download to be free"..blablabla],
I think it would be a much better song.

I like the "can't leave the keys in my brand new car" and
"dead pres and rage conspire to open up your eyes"...

Shame that is has to open up with that silly lyric. 9 out
of 10 times he don't even get as far as "I am the cybersin-"
before it's *skipp>>* *skipp>>* *bloodyfckinskip>>*

Think it rocks and kicks some ass!!! Full of energy that's definitely right!!!

it is beyond my belief how anybody can like this song. sometimes i wonder if we're all here to talk about the same artist. it's funny how Prince's diversity can lead to fans being interested in completely different styles of music yet still all being fans of prince.

I don't love it, but I like it a lot. It's just as good as the any of the stuff that was being written for the "High" project around that time. Lyrics are a bit cheesy, but I love the guitar work on the song, and the vocals are cool too!

I think, putting the lyrics aside, it's a good song. Don't you think so?

"Cybersingle" and "One Song" are the most embarrassing "songs" by Prince I have ever heard. Some days, I think he should take some time off and NOT write and record, you know? Just think a while as to whether a "song" like this is really worth it.

Having said that, the drums and guitar - nothing wrong with them at all.

uh-oh... I really loved One Song... but then again, I did love Cybersingle.

I think the message that he is trying to get across is actually the best thing on One Song. Society reflects art.

(very flat example: they were trying to free the whale that was Willy in Free Willy, well when it finally happened he didn't want to go, and the sponsors were kinda mad, now that is what I think about when I watch/listen to that song, but also the Twin Towers)
