Purple and Gold=Prince's love for his state not royalty? I don't mean the fight song. The colors of minnesota are purple and gold. prince uses purple for his purple rain era prince uses gold for emancipation
I don't think the color purple has to do with this notion of it being related to royalty. I think it's only because he's obsessed with his own state.
