Late Prince Halts Black Swan Screening

PRINCE kept film fans waiting for a special screening of NATALIE PORTMAN's new thriller BLACK SWAN earlier this week (beg06Dec10), after organisers refused to start the movie until the star showed up.

The Purple Rain hitmaker was invited to a Los Angeles viewing of the acclaimed new movie, which features Portman as a ruthless young ballerina.

But guests were left waiting for the credits to roll after the singer turned up 20 minutes late, according to New York Post gossip column PageSix.

A source tells the publication, "He showed up just as you would expect Prince to do - late, with dark sunglasses and high heels. He said he really liked the film as he walked out."

Man, that flick looks boring as hell judging by the trailers. Maybe there's a sex scene with Natalie and Mila that I haven't heard about...

Why is he an ass? Because he showed up 20 minutes late somewhere? I guess we are all asses then. Anyway it says the "organisers" refused to start the movie, not that Prince demanded they wait for him.

Darren Aronofsky would strike me as a Prince fan, and "LA traffic" has made many people late.

Plus it's Page Six from the NY Post, take the gripes with a grain of salt. It's not that unusual to start a screening late. They usually show 20 minutes worth of previews in your typical movie theater.

Well that was nice they held the film for em', lol. They know what the deal is!

I wonder if they ever done that before for another artist or musician or celebrity. wink

saw the trailer during fringe....looks awesome! and mila is hot! watched forgetting sarah marshall yesterday.....
