Wow. What kind of piano is Prince using in his new shows? Looks awesome. Is it purple? Hard to tell from the lights. It looks like it's an electric keyboard probably in a grand piano shell of some sort. If you look at this picture, it looks like on the he's got the little pitch bender knobs.

Also, are there lyrics or something painted on the top of the piano? It kinda looks like lyrics being projected onto the piano from some sort of overhead projector.

Looks like the piano shell with the built-in keyboard that he used to have on stage during the "New Power Soul/Jam of the Year" tour, the one that had "Beautiful" written on it, just repainted differently. The lyrics could be projected onto the piano shell but I doubt it because that would be pretty unreliable in a live setting. I guess they´re painted onto that shell, not projected....kinda like the "Gold" song lyrics that were painted onto the one eyed Warwick bass that Sonny used to play. A bit off topic but....it´s great to see Prince is still healthy, cheerful, energetic and playful after all these years....in fact he even looks much better and a bit more refreshed than he did during the Musicology and ONA tours. I saw him live this summer in Berlin and was pleasantly surprised and felt happy for him.....the only thing that kind of ruined that happiness were the steep ticket prices and the fact that many people who had cheaper tickets were later allowed to join the "expensive tix" circle but I digress.
