Yeah. It's pretty bad when it's one of the worst on a "worst of" list. MIA's is truly horrible, but 20TEN ain't far behind. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

Oh, yeah, 20ten deserves to be on this list. The cover was so bad I just downloaded the album so I wouldn't have to look at it.
Actually, I would have downloaded the album anyway. But that terrible cover gave me an extra reason. | |

The music on the MIA album is truly horrible too, my girlfriend loves her too.
At least 20Ten cover is better than the effort by The Kings Of Leon, that is just pure lazy.

Deserved.
Some of the others on that list are terrible, look like 10 minute Photoshop jobs. Prince should hire their designers, it would be a slight improvement | |

No one except Pitchfork pays attention to album covers anymore.
Not sure what issue they had with Bryan Ferry's cover, it looks like every Roxy Music cover, and he reunited them along with getting Nile Rodgers, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd's David Gilmour. Might be his last hurrah as a recording artist... but Roxy Music's touring the UK next year without Eno.
When Prince included the CDs in with the newspapers, did they get the artwork with the CD copy? | |

The Brian Ferry cover is very slick, but on first glance, i also thought maybe it had some witty connection to a woman's magazine advertisement. But no. Just a clueless art dept. head.
But the rest of the covers obviously had no art dept. or head to blame. Unlike the Brian Ferry cover, lack of funds was probably the culprit for the rest. But who knows, maybe the Brian Ferry cover is a leftover Channel or Cartier photo he snagged cheap. | |

The Lotusflow3r packaging was passable, but the rest of them have looked cheap. Pretty much anybody could have done them at home (and most people could have done a better job).Xibalba said:

I hate Pitchfork, but I agree they're right about 20Ten; Prince has released some truly awful covers in the 00s (3121 being the exception), MPLSound, 20Ten and the NPG Online covers are clearly the worst... [Edited 12/8/10 8:41am]  | |
