I ordered a new copy of the book DMSR on Amazon. I heard it is out of print. Even if it is, will it still come in or will it not? How does the Amazon store work?

It might have been a good idea to find out how it works before you ordered.

Amazon have a stock of goods that they sell to you the customer.

Also, private sellers can sell their goods on the Amazon site.

Sometimes, if Amazon do not stock a particular item, they will sell it to you, but it will be provided by a private seller or shop/company who sell goods on Amazon.

If you bought the book on the Amazon site then it will come, i'm doubtful that Amazon have a stock of brand new DMSR's, so you maybe bought it form a private seller. Go into your account (top right of screen usually) and the item will be listed with the sellers details.

It's a great book by the way, enjoy it.

I tend to find that, if I place an order with a store and I'm not sure about something concerning my order with the store, it's a good idea to contact the store.

I've done that with Amazon and they have helped me in the past.

As you can see, Amazon always lists what/who/where. Just gotta know where to look. Now you do!

DMSR is a great book, but not flawless. Per's musical tastes sometimes/often clash with mine and I find it jarring to read him criticize music in the book.

but I have ordered books from Half.com (not half priced books) and 3 times they said they were in stock and billed me and claimed to have processed the order and 2 times they said the order was damaged in trassit. Both times it was said to be water damage. weird? no a LIE!
