Sooo, I just got done watching Graffiti Bridge for the first time.....

umm........ I thought the film was......pretty interesting lol lol

Ok, lets face it, it was terrible but it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. I certainly wouldnt call it a squel to Purple Rain even though it was. Morris Day, he really really made the movie imo. I like his jokes and attitude towards The Kid in both movies he played in. Someone to finally put The Kid in his place. lol lol But, one thing that really made this movie terrible was the poetry throughout the film. I didnt get the girls name who wrote it but she really needs to find a new hobby. Her poems were annoying, repeativie and just complete utter crap. disbelief But, despite the badness of it all, the music made up for it I guess. And it was nice to see more Black women in the films. nod So, yeah thats pretty much my review. lol lol Oh, and there was some pretty bizarre scenes that I didnt understand either. But, since Prince wrote the script and directed it all, I was assuming that he was trying to give us a little sense of the world he lives in and I guess his personality. But, idk. confused

Not good enough! This movie blows past all rungs on the top 10 worst films list, like explosive diarrhea, and rockets out the other end into completely unmeasurable depths of horribleness.

Jill Jones had the right idea when she was throwing pages from the script around the airplane cabin... if only she'd told the stewardess of the bomb she was carrying, they would have turned that plane right the f*ck around.

First time watch, my condolences. Ingrid was certainly annoying but hey we've been down this road with prince for years. Anytime he is presented with something mediocre from a raven haired/exotic beauty he overvalues the crap he is being served. If Ingrid was any less cute or racially ambiguous she would have been escorted out of paisley by security lol.

Why was it "nice to see more black women in the films"? I don't get it. What difference does it make?

I remember BET's review of the film.It was a female journalist who reviewed it,and she complained that "there's not a woman in this film who is browner than a paper bag" lol

I believe the person with the Poetry is Ingrid Chavez. I forgot her name in the movie (Ariel, Aura...some booshit like that). Apparently she's the same girl who introduced Prince to extacy...so the rumor mill has it.

Please explain. I found your original statement to be the exact opposite of what it was probably meant to be like, which is quite racist.

It was just really nice seeing more Black women in the movie, knowing how America is, knowing the entertainment industry, knowing how Prince is and understanding the concept of beauty in this world which is in my opinion quite a distorted view and it was just nice seeing Black women being featured despite all those things that I have mentioned above. nod

LOL I personally quite enjoy the movie! I do think Morris Day's part in the movie is great, that and the music, combined with Prince being drop-dead gorgeous in the movie really sells it for me. No its not an Oscar winner, but cool nontheless. Aura was the worst part of the movie! lol I've heard alot of folks talk about how "confusing" the movie is. I don't get that, the whole thing makes sense to me. It definately shows Prince's "religious" side and what he was feeling like at the time. I think its a cool movie about faith. It was nice to see the different people in the movie...though the women of Prince didn't have any more color to them. Appolonia had more color to her than Jill and Aura do tbh.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

Good music for the most part but THE most horrid thing about that movie was the cheap as hell, west side story play scenery in the backround. LAWD A MERCY! eek

So bad it was fucking distracting and took away from the "story."

Maybe that wasn't such a bad thing after all.lol

Anywho....

yeah, it sucked donkey phallus to be sure.
