- "Little Red Corvette" (12-inch extended version) 1983
A major face-lift: Prince transforms the song into this sweaty funk-out and — sorry, Diddy! — invents the remix.

i think prince fans are happy that prince has had an influence on other artists or that other artists admire his work. |

Well that's cool, but not exactly a recent phenomenon.

He called Camille Prince's heluim-voiced "female" character..Well Erotic city wasnt a Camille song and Camille is not a "female"
whatever Prince might have had you believe in 1986-1988, Camille is a a studio trick that was applied to a batch of songs, including ones before and after that era. he just gave it a name during that period because it was a project and just one more pseudonym in an every-growing list at the time.
Sorry but I KNOW who and what Camille is..And what songs are actually CREDITED to Camille an Erotic City was NOT credited to Camille. So therefore it;s not a Camille song. Thats the point i was trying to get across Some people think I'm kinda cute
But that don't compute when it comes 2 Y-O-U. |

It really is! Hopefully it didn't get ?uestlove put on Prince's list, too!
I'm certain Prince would be chagrined by this list of hard-to-find classics (in his eyes: illegal)
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart. |

I was born in 1991, and my prince collections starts with For You and ends with the Symbol album

I think it's because ?uestlove is a critical darling in the pop music world, and therefore someone whose opinion has more weight than others. That he holds Prince in such high esteem, and seems to really "get" him, endears him to Prince fans.
If Justin Bieber had posted the same list...not sure the reaction would have been the same. |

He's not disputing whether it's an actual camille song or not, but just stating the studio effect in which creates camille was used before the camille persona was created. chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads |

It's not just him being interviewed, it's a whole article with various artists giving top 10 lists. It was nice to see as I found it more original than many lists on the numerous top 10 threads that show up on here. chill..prince doesnt like men being front row, makes it hard to sing the ballads |

precisely. he just hadn't thought of "Camille" yet when he released "Erotic City"
likewise, there's no way of knowing if, say "Crystal Ball" or that 3rd version of "Witness 4 The Prosecution," wouldn't have been credited to Camille if they had been released in 1987. "does my cock look fat in these jeans?" |

Great list.
"Any dogs in the house?....I know your nasty" I forgot how great the video for "Baby I'm A Star" is. It's been so long since I took the time to watch it. MTV played it to death back in the day.

I dug some of his 90s stuff...but after 88 he went downhill pretty fast.
The rap thing was atrocious.
We've been thru this a million times.
In the 80s, if a Prince album had 10 songs, 8 were the BOMB and 2 were okay/good.
After 88, a 10 song album would have maybe 2 really good songs, 2 or 3 okay songs, and the rest garbage.
And thats being nice!
What about Batman ?
A solid album with killer tracks: Electric Chair, Batdance, The Future..
only 3 good/bad songs imo : Trust, Lemon Crush and...Arms of Orion
Same goes 4 D&P and TGE, but that's just my opinion. Love4oneanother |

I felt that your description of a few good songs per album was always my reaction to his albums in the 80's as they came out and I first listened to them. So I don't think anything ever changed. |
