02. New Position 2:16 Originally from the Controversy era
It's strange how your mind works when Love is in power
06. Life Can Be So Nice 3:08
*This slow bluesy classic is one of Prince's most autobiographical songs in which he sings about Steve Fargnoli, Wendy Melvoin, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, and the late bodyguard Chick Huntsberry. A somber mood is established from an eerie slightly discordant synth with a piano the main accompaniment. Recorded during the Parade sessions, two versions exist, with one including Clare Fischer's orchestra. It was revised in 1991.
The sun set in my heart this afternoon
09. All My Dreams 7:12

13.- An Honest Man Complete instrumental version of the song, from Under the Cherry Moon movie & an accapella lyrical version
14.- Neon Telephone Parade outtake later given to Three OClock 3:52 Sometimes her pride is like a big tall building
15. It's A Wonderful Day
* It's A Wonderful Day is when the infamous butterscotch vs chocolate scene
Everybody makes suggestions but the words don't rhyme
"It's A Wonderful Day" is a fairly nondescript uptempo number, and may have been intended to be replaced at a later time, according to Susan Rogers. Recorded in January, 1986, the song is a positive and upbeat number and features prominent vocals from Lisa and Wendy. Although discarded, some of the song may have been inspiration for Camille track, "Good Love".

Alexa De Paris was released as the b-side of Mountains, the second single from Prince's eighth album Parade, the third to be credited to Prince and the Revolution. Unusually, the extended version was also included as a b-side on the European CD single of Letitgo eight years later. The track is also heard in Prince's second film Under The Cherry Moon. July 1985 Washington Avenue Warehouse, Eden Prairie, MN, USA late 1985 Monterey Sound Studios, Glendale, CA, USA Orchestra recording by Clare Fischer
Performed live 3 March, 1986, First Avenue, Minneapolis, MN, USA
Alexa de Paris - RELEASE DATE: 7 MAY 1986 - RELEASE FORMAT: SINGLE TRACK Featured in Under The Cherry Moon, the instrumental "Alexa de Paris” was the B-side of “Mountains.” The song was recorded at the Washington Avenue warehouse in July 1985. It appeared in some of the 1986 “Hit & Run” concerts but was dropped for the European and Japanese Parade tours.
A complex and dramatic piece of music, Alexa de Paris is an ambitious medium-paced instrumental rock number that recalls the “symphonic” rock of Mike Oldfield or such groups as Genesis and Yes. Prince improvises on guitar around a basic theme, which is played on synth. The music is calm and unhurried but intensity builds as the instrumentation expands, with Clare Fischer’s orchestra adding an element of danger. An arpeggiated synth and string part leads into a second section of the song. The tempo increases as the bass becomes more driving and the drumming more active. Prince rips into a guitar solo and Sheila E. plays a brief drum solo, before everything returns to the main theme again

The Flesh
The Flesh was a project of live jam sessions recorded in late 1985 to early 1986. The project was abandoned when Prince began work on Parade although a small instrumental portion of a track called "Junk Music" made it into the film Under the Cherry Moon. A circulating outtake from these sessions is titled "U Got 2 Shake Something".

Mia Bocca, I know it's a 1987 rel, but this song look everything about it screams PARADE era, I always say she should have had a 1986 album + a Purple Rain or 1999 album release. The song can be heard in the movie Under the Cherry Moon

"Kiss" is a 1986 song by Prince and the Revolution, from the album Parade. Kiss started as a short acoustic demo, about a minute in length, with one verse and the chorus. Prince gave the song to the funk band Mazarati for their debut album. Mazarati and producer David Z. drastically reworked the song, giving it its unique raw funk and oddly effective stripped-down minimalist sound. When Mazarati delivered the song to Prince, he was amazed at their work and decided to take back the song for himself. He replaced their lead vocal, added the guitar break in the chorus and edited the song to its present form. Mazarati were credited for their backing vocals, which Prince left intact. He added the song at the last minute to Parade. Despite Warner Bros. not wanting to release it as a single, Kiss became Prince's third number-one U.S. hit following 1984's highly successful "When Doves Cry" and "Let's Go Crazy". It was also a big hit across the Atlantic, reaching #6 on the UK Singles Chart. The song won Prince another Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group, and was nominated for Best R&B Song. [1] The song has become a staple at Prince's concerts and is usually sung partially by the audience. The 12" single of the song is an extension of the album track. The extended section is based on the funky guitar line and contains much fuller instrumentation than the main track, including bass, keys and horns. New lyrics are present from Prince with Jill Jones that ends with a humorous dialogue between a wife and her husband watching Prince on television. The B-side of Kiss was the funky "¢¾ or $" ("Love or Money"), sung in a processed, higher-pitched vocal, which Prince would later use for his Camille material. The song relates to the theme in Under the Cherry Moon and a bit of the song was heard in the film, as was a bit of the extended version of Kiss. The extended Kiss was included on 2006's Ultimate but "¢¾ or $" has oddly never been re-released.

1.Susannah's pajamas, Mico Weaver: Yeah, actually we did the Purple Rain Tour. It was like 100 shows in the States. The last show was in Florida so everybody was chillin'. Now the tour was over, 'what are we gonna do right after this?' So he called me and said 'Hey come up to my room, and he showed me "Around The World In A Day", the cover and all that stuff. He said 'this is the new thing'. I thought 'this is cool' -- it showed his own label and then he told me 'I want you to play in The Family'.
