I don't think the tracks were "extended" or "restricted" to 14 minutes. I think that there are more than 4 songs @ 14 minutes each on this album and that they were grouped together (and padded out) and combined into 4 tracks of exactly the same length.
the 4 X 14 thing is completely arbitrary. each of the 4 tracks is multiple songs with the indexing removed.
the album itself is pleasant enough and a very nice effort from him, but nothing particularly special in its own right or in his canon.
There is definitely, absolutely, 100% for sure more than four, fourteen minute single take recordings on this release. I've never understood how anybody could truly hear it any other way. |

The first track is a bit dull IMO, but I like the rest quite a bit. |

I really dislike N.E.W.S. too.... BORING.....
have you tried listening to it with a headphones? No offense.
New directions in music.
Sort of process several other artists used to do like Miles Davis. "Guys, this is the key we play in, drummer man you start, you fill in and then we see. Watch the clock. We round of after 14 minutes. Alright. Two, Three, Four..."
I can't have enough listens to this one while sculpturing. Top 5. |

Music like this really enhances whatever it is you're already enjoying. Unless of course; you're not enjoying much of anything. "There's Nothing That The Proper Attitude Won't Render Funkable!"
