Yeah I remember this documentary, it was really great: the intro was really cool, driving around in Minneapolis in the night time. I think there was a clip from the Camden Palace aftershow, and a clip with Prince and Miles Davis playing on stage, together. IIRC.
I used to have this on VHS tape. Prince 4Ever.

It was a good docu, it was broadcast in different countries with slightly different footage (the American version for example) and the title was different too, but it was essentially the same.

I alway remember being amazed a Daddy Pop video existed...never seen it before or since. Loved the Camden clips and the playful backstage Prince with the rehearsal footage "look at those shoes - phew spotlight on the shoes please" or his make up artist "trying to make me look stupid eh?"

P-r-e-t-t-y sure that 'make-up artist' is Boni Boyer...what do y'all think?
Good documentary back in the day...highlighting all his talents...

That was an amazing doc, with amazing access. Just loved the version of The Ladder at the end, sung with such emotion and this was from a rehearsal!
I'm not sure if it was part of this doc, but it was definitely in a 15 minute insert on BBC2's 'DefII' programming, where Prince is slapping bass to Partyman. That blows my mind, I used to play that clip over and over...
Forget concert DVD's, I'd like to see some rehearsals, jams or recording sessions. No commentary, no structure, just a camera on him doing his biz

This doc was called 'Prince of Paisley Park' here in Canada. Man, I loved it. Some of you are talking about footage that wasn't part of our broadcast, tho!

. I haven't seen it since about 93 so I can't remember...don't recall seeing her face but, as I can't remember things from about a week ago, there's no hope
