I'm listening to some boots from the New Power Soul era and Rave era and even if it was a bit much, Larry Graham calling Prince his baby brother was cool on a spiritual level from one musician to another. Larry did give him spiritual counsel and for what it's worth, Prince values it. Just a thought but is it time for Prince to do for another artist what Larry Graham did for him?

Hmmm, I think he has been an older brother to others already.

He just doesn't advertise it.

I always found it cringe-worthy for Prince as a fully grown man to let LG (however lovingly) to call him baby brother. The early to late 90's seemed like Prince was having an early mid life crisis. 35-year-old-man boy-adolescence is never pretty, and the music from that frame of mind was equally cringe worthy as well.

mm, with all due respect to larry graham, it was a very patronizing thing to say.

and with prince being as naive as he can be, looking up to his musical 'god'/role model (larry), he accepted the role of baby brother and played it just nicely.

musically, i always thought it was the other way round, that larry was the baby brother, but maybe prince was in fact, as you say, the 35-year-old man-adolescent when larry called him that.

either way, it was still a very patronizing thing to say, but thats just my opinion.
