Purple Rain singer Prince clearly isn't a fan of rocker David Lee Roth. Both were dining and drinking at the Rainbow bar and Grill in West Hollywood when David sauntered over to Prince's table and asked, "How's it going?" After being completly ignored, he tried again, sating "Prince, Prince, I'm David Lee Roth," only to be told, "I know who you are." Despite the rude treatment, the former Van Halen front man refused to give up. He plopped down in a chair beside Prince, who then snapped, "No - you can't sit here!" That time David got the message and walked away, completely dejected.

Do these two have a history or is Prince realy this rude to people ?

lol,we've heard tons of stories like this throughout the years Prince being rude to other celebrities.Slash from Guns N' Roses got pissed when Prince ignored him backstage at the 1990 American Music Awards.

It's not Prince being rude, it's David. Who approaches a table and makes themselves at home uninvited? I would have told him he couldn't sit there either

I have no doubt Price may have concidered David's invasion of his table rude, but he could have simply asked David not to bother him instead of lowering himself to downright rudeness by ignoring the guy.

i've always heard these kind of stories too, especially the kevin smith one where he didnt even pay smith for making a documentary, nor thank him

I know Prince can be an arse but we should also consider the source. The Enquirer is hardly know for it's accurate reporting. Why tell the truth when you can make up something more sensational!

if i were prince i'd HATE always being interrupted when i'm out in public due to my celebrity status. poor guy

I think it's especially rude to intrude when someone's eating. Terrible manners, that.

i'd like the $ and i dont go out much already but all the attention and paparazzi crap..gotta suck. no wonder so many celebrites turn to drugs or kill themselves...

Sorry but how is P rude, in that someone uninvited comes over to him and starts pestering him and then sits down again uninvited - how is that rude ??? ok so Prince ignored his stupid attempts at getting his attention, maybe that could be considered slightly rude but no ruder than someone entering your space and sitting without request. ???? I would have thought that anyone who knows anything about Prince would know that you don't approach him unless given some indication is given that it would be acceptable - everyone is entitled to thier personal space and that includes Prince !!! so no I don't think he was the rude one at all !!!!!!!

Maybe P is a little deaf he is getting on now and all that loud music might have made him a little deaf ??? just a thought anyway I don't think he was meaningfully rude - just not concerned enough or wanting to open a chat situation which if he had said anything it might have led to???
