Don't be mad at me for speaking my mind after seeing the latest pictures. I know he still looks great and forever will. Good looking, nice shape, wonderful energy, ... Yet, the old man is showing his age.

He does look old. He doesn't look 52, but you can definitely see he's aged...especially when he smiles and all the wrinkles appear. But, I think he's aging quite well, because Madonna is only 2 months younger than him and looks much older than 52. The only older artists who look amazing to me (besides Prince) without having loads of plastic surgery are Tina Turner and Patti LaBelle. Both of these women make the 30 and younger artist look ragged and used up. Some people just age gracefully; my mom is one of them because she's in her early 60s and people think she's in her 40s...I pray everyday that I got that side of the gene pool.

As we covered in a different thread, Prince's hands have many scandalous stories to tell.

Dude couldn't look 20 forever. I kind of like that his face is finally starting to change. It's workin' for me. Regardless, he DOES look really happy and in good shape on stage lately. That's all that really matters to me. I mean, I'm a Dead Head. I paid MANY TIMES to see a bunch of guys stand in one spot and jam. Prince is still way more active than that. Also, I kind of hope he's still playing acoustic guitar on a stool when he's old as dirt like John Lee Hooker did. I'm not sure his "fans" will ever allow that to happen, though.

The above pic may be, but in general in all the more recent pics his face is finally starting to show a little natural aging. Dude still looks better than most of us will at that age, though.

the way eddie vedder used to climb up to the venues seatings. now he sits on a stool and playing mostly acoustic. barely screams or moves at all. U2 came out 2 yrs after prince and bono sure still works that stage!

U mm, I've seen PJ about ten times in recent years. Eddie never sits on a stool and he moves around the stage quite vigorously. Check YouTube if you have any doubts. PJ shows are better than they've ever been and they seem to just keep getting better (they certainly keep getting longer - 2 1/2 hours is pretty normal).

Pearl Jam is one of the best live acts ever. I saw them for the first time on New Years Eve 1991 with Nirvana and The Red Hot Chili Peppers, and have seen them about 4 or 5 times since. Hey Cerebus did you catch Eddie Vedder's solo show at Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley on Apr. 7, 2008? It was amazing. That was the only time I have ever seen him sit down for an extended period of time. Speaking of shows in Berkeley, I remember seeing Jimmy Cliff open for Jerry Garcia at the Greek when I was in high school. I was not a Deadhead, but I did see them a few times.

Back on topic, I think Prince looks great for his age.

I'd rather see Prince age gradually and naturally (well, as much as possible), then try to fight the hands of time and become a plastic surgery addict.

He's old enough to be on the cover of AARP. Valerie Bertinelli's 2 years younger than he is and she was on the cover.

I saw PJ 2-3 years ago and Vedder kept swigging wine throughout the show, and climbed up a portable ladder to sing to the back of the audience. He doesn't sit on a stool the entire show.

What is so old about that pic? It looks to me like the face of anyone that usually wears makeup but doesn't have any on. I've seen 20yr olds with that look. It's what makeup does to you when you constantly wear it. There isn't much else wrong with that pic..
