i dont feel he should associate myself with with this shit but then again...people moan about how young people dont know much about him so this is certainly the most watched tv programme on uk tv by young ones so.........mccartney did it last year...as much as he said he isnt keen on it....and it didnt do him any harm....prince has already done americian idol....he did two songs then walked off...so he has already done it........thing i am wondering is what does he have to promote ?...20ten....no point....new uk tour......mmmm

I can't believe that all the people who just randomly apply for free tickets to the xfactor will get to see Prince when half of them probably don't even like him Im sooooo jealous, but will have to watch. I just hope he doesn't perform with any of them as none of them are good enough.

You're right he's already done American Idol, so this is no different.

And I agree, unless it's promoting live dates, I don't see the point. The only other thing it would boost is a slight increase in sales of copies of 'Very Best Of' and probably LRC and Purple Rain on iTunes for a day or two.

I'll catch it on youtube, wouldn't be caught dead watching that shit, and let's be honest, he's not gonna bust out a stellar performance of 'Anna Stesia' or something, it'll be the same old Let's Go Crazy/1999/Purple Rain medley bullshit - that's all the X-Factor audience could handle.
