Has everyone heard Ice T lisp through his rendition of Head? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

So all some person need to is mention they like Prince's music and they end up in this forum?

That's part of the "More"
And with as many "Which Celebrities Like/Don't like Prince" threads there have been over the years, this topic isn't going away anytime soon.
We should have sections in the Princepedia... "Celebrities that have been quoted saying they like Prince." "Celebrities that have been quoted saying they do not like Prince." I'm firmly planted in denial

Yes, that'a all a person needs to do...exciting isn't it??!

Little known fact:
Ice T's first single "The Coldest Rap" was produced by none other than Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

Me neither. Interesting tidbit. I just listened to it and it sure doesn't sound to me like the Flyte Tyme stuff we're used to, but in 1983 Jimmy and Terry were fairly new producers. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yeah, it sure doesnt.
I've looked everywhere for confirmation but cant find any mention.
But I swear to Holy God my cousin had the 12" back in the day and their names are printed right on the centerpiece as producers. She has robes and she has monkeys, lazy diamond studded flunkies....

Looks like Jimmy and Terry played on it, but weren't actually the credited producers.

You sure about that? As far as I know, he wasn't even paid anything for "The Coldest Rap" and it was done for some indie label that doesn't exist anymore. We're talking 1982 here, too.

Unfortunately, yes.
I was all excited... love "Head", love Ice-T, this is gonna be great... NOPE! It sucks. Every once in a while I pull it out, think maybe I hated it cuz my expectations were too high, give it a spin with low expectations... still hate it.
Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

My hair grew long during my seven year stay When I got it done on my shoulders it lay Rapper Ice-T, who is often given credit for the creation of gangsta rap, credits Schoolly D as an influence on his own music: “ The first record that came out along those lines was Schoolly D's "P.S.K." Then the syncopation of that rap was used by me when I made "Six In The Morning". The vocal delivery was the same: '...P.S.K. is makin' that green', '...six in the morning, police at my door'. When I heard that record I was like "Oh shit!" and call it a bite or what you will but I dug that record. My record didn't sound like "P.S.K.", but I liked the way he was flowing with it. "P.S.K." was talking about Park Side Killers but it was very vague. That was the only difference, when Schoolly did it, it was '...one by one, I'm knockin' em out'. All he did was represent a gang on his record. I took that and wrote a record about guns, beating people down, and all that with "Six In The Morning".
