Can you explain?

you can prove the theory of evolution...

but you can't prove if God exists or not, it's a matter of faith...poor Dawkins doesn't understand that rolleyes

But why have faith in a invisible product which has no evidence for its existence?

I love how when people watch beautiful nature, or nature programs and say "Its amazing how god works" Yes, but you then read about 1 in 3 will get a form of cancer, then you ask "where is you god now", god can't be all the good things that happen.

In history, when man didn't have a understanding of certain things, they called it "God"...We have come a long way sense then. 2000-1000years ago god was everything, because man knew nothing about the natural world. There is a big gap in years between religon and science. That is why there is no Science in the bible.

monophysitism is a real ghastly thing. I could understand why someone would imagine each thing that grows, the sky, the mountains Etc..etc... has its their own god, because its a beautiful way of thinking, like the Greek's believed. They also believe that gods were unkind, envyus, and mostly deeply unpleasent.

Well yes, you should really. If you're publicly bashing a book that you haven't even read, it does kinda make you look like a bit of a mental, to be honest.

Read more than a "Brief Summary", maybe your have a different opinion.

See, with most Atheists, they have read the bible, gone to bible studies or even Sunday school, that's why we are allowed to voice our OWN opinions...

How can any of us force you to do anything for one? And two, I've never read it myself. Dawkins did not invent the idea. He's not the Prime Atheist.

Bria is actually the Master's third regeneration who collects sand dollars on Thoros Beta in an insidious plan to conquer the universe and destroy the Doctor!

I think youre thinking of science where you round up with a conclusion? as in method, conclusion?

the most important part of a book is the entire book, you need to read it all to understand it. the synopsis wont help you either, thats only there to get your interest.

the most important part of an essay is also not the conclusion that is merely a summation of your work.

Did you read all of Jmonkeys original post? or just the final conclusion? if you read it all you may find you reach a different conclusion to him even though you have read the same research/quotations.

hence people have differing interpretations on the bible.

To deride an author without reading their work is the same thought process as the fatwa brought upon Salman Rushdi for writing The Satanic Verses.

In that respect doesn't your book of choice, try and prove something it cannot?

I would also like to add that it's not my favourite book of the 00s. History books and religious book I also like : God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything, A history of God: The 4,000-year quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and The Mysteries of Mithras: The Pagan Belief That Shaped the Christian World

My favourite book of 00's is of course : The World Of Karl Pilkington!

I don´t believe in all that biblical stuff that the OP posted nor do I understand any of it, I have only skimmed through it but I must say, I love the word "fornication". Reminds me of tasty Italian dishes baked in the oven ("forno"), like lasagna.

It also reminds me of Iron Mike Tyson....Kid Dynamite.

Fornication!
