Yay! The Opus is here. The Opus is finally here. And don't worry about missing this announcement, folks. It will be up on YouTube until Prince has it pulled 4 minutes later. Don't want the announcement getting into the wrong hands.
The Opus is here. The Opus is here.

A Paisley residency would be cool, though he'd have to coordinate a lot of the logistics with the Chanhassen authorities to avoid traffic/parking issues in his neighborhood.
Even with NYC being cost-prohibitive for lots of travelers, its historic significance would be great. And his nod to Harlem would be welcome.
Is it REALLY that much easier to get to the Apollo than Paisley Park, though? And would the surrounding neighborhood be OK with packed shows on consecutive nights? I'm not saying it isn't or that they wouldn't - just asking. A lot of bands have done residencies at The Fillmore in SF, but that place is in a weird location, surrounded by businesses as much as housing.
Side note, mysterious or otherwise, I do not believe Prince would set up a press conference just to announce the release of 20ten. Working with WB again, maaaaybe, but I doubt it. More than likely, if there is a press conference, it's relating to a US tour (it has been six years), possibly bundled with 20ten and/or WB news.
Well the Apollo is in a business district, a main thoroughfare on 125th Street, that is used to playing host to concerts and crowds. Nothing in NYC is parking friendly, but there are lots and the subways are close by (which is what most people use). Paisley on the other hand is located in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by private residences who hate having their roads blocked by cars parked on the curbs. It was speculated that the congestion around Paisley events was one of the reasons why the Celebrations were discontinued. I've experienced the Paisley congestion/location issues - sucks. So the Apollo sounds like it would definitely be a more likely/reasonable place for a residency (or a press conference ).
And hello, btw. |

Yes Pickles. Prince is often prone to call a press conference because he has a compound fracture and make the decision to seek advice from a doctor at a later date. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. |

I thought about it. But he hasn't toured the US in six years and we all know how he feels about his past work. A tour seems much more likely. |

Prince is NOT the type to arrange a press conference to announce a physical illness or infirmity. |
