I once read on an old thread on the org (discussing Prince & Talking Heads) that Prince covered Talking Heads songs in rehearsals/soundchecks.

Is there any truth to this? Is there any known time when Prince covered Talking Heads material?

Its true, but i wouldnt call it a cover I think it was more of an adlib (ad-lib?)

I havent listen to it in a while. Im sure some one can shed more light on this

Its part of the 1999 tour rehearsals floating around (1982 or 1983)

Again.. i cant remember..

but they are rehearsing jamming.. and in the middle or end or near the end of it they improvise or adlib some lyrics.. So i wouldt call it a cover

This might be the same rehearsal where they do popeye olive oil impression
