The bass line, the solos, the lyrics....Still Awesome!

Its always been awesome, its a true classic, not just by Prince but everyone.

Great song. Sadly, I don't like studio version as much as live version, because the chant "Love is God...." sounds less powerful.

Absolutely one of my most favorite Prince tracks, and LoveSexy's strongest track imo.

THIS SONG PUTS ME IN THE MOOD, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN. CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY.

I always found this song interesting because it opens with this whole sexual ambiguity about Prince. You know, "Have you ever been so lonely that you wanted to play with anyone boy or girl," and then calls to Anna Stesia to numb his concious and validate his wants. Sort of, help me do anything it takes to make people love me even if I have a problem with how I am behaving. The creepiest part of the song... to me... is when he says 'Gregory looks just like a ghost and then a beautiful girl the most,' and please correct me if I am wrong, wasn't his deceased son's name Gregory? And of course his death was far after this song? And didn't he write the 'Most Beautiful Girl in the World' for Mayte, Gregory's mother? Just almost as if the song accidently told his future in some part, but correct once again.... I am not 100% sure about all of that.

Then the song turns to the whole forgive me Jesus, I've been a fool, how could I forget that you are the rule...... and his life steps in as a JW.

I'm not saying at all that the Prince can see the future, but I think that the coincidences of his lyrics matching stages of his life are startling if I see this half way clearly.

The only amazing track on Lovesexy, love it!!
