I'm new to the board, and I've always wanted to know this... Yes, actually it's a critical element in the symbolism that prince uses throughout his catalogue. Among other things, it's closely related to the topic about prince farting on records (when will the damn search function work again?). Since u'r a newbie i won't get to technical, but let me say i do not agree with EllisDee's analysis of the subject.
