Hello all, I have a question about Prince 1985 Grammy Performance. I've been studying that performance for about an hour. I noticed the saxophonist was being carried up to the stage behing Prince, what is the deal with that. Also, was Apollunia on the stage towards the end of the performance? Did Prince kiss her?

I would think having band members carried in was just in the spirit of doing something memorable and/or silly for the internationally seen Grammy performance (much like that run through the crowd he did at the end of the performance. Both a bit different than what people would be used to seeing and expecting from a typical awards show performance) As for Apollonia, that was her and yeah, he probably kissed her. If I remember right, on the PR tour, he would give Wendy a kiss during the song PR just like he did in the movie.
