Track 6 - labbelled as 'Instrumental' is totally 'Cant stop this feeling i've got', surely?

Wasnt that song written around 81/82?

That thought floated across my brain too.

Another stellar release from FBG. Definately the best P bootleg 'label' out there at the present time. Well, between them and 4DF anyway.

As it should be. Non-profit and Free! thumbs up!

Great minds think alike! biggrin

Don't know when it was written, but this is certainly "Can't Stop This Feeling I've Got".

Hummm... this same conspiracy theory pops up everytime a really clear sounding old recording surfaces via FBG or 4DaFunk. I think there are still some peple who are under the delusion Box 'O' Chocolates was sanctioned by Prince. All I can say is I can 100% guarantee you P had nothing to do with this or any other Free label recording being released.

Close, but no. It's "Ronnie Talk 2 Russia."

But "Ronnie Talk 2 Russia" and the 1990 version of "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got" do sound similar. smile

I've never listened to a Prince rehearsal before but this was AMAZING. The Bird jam was great. It was awesome to listen to Prince make off the cuff comments as well as hear him use musical terms. He really must have perfect pitch.

Electric Intercourse surprised me. Really lame vocals. Thank God he decided not to go falsetto-y on it when they premiered it.

If you enjoyed the rehersal element of this performance (e.g. princes verbal instructions), then i highly reccomend that you locate the 'Christmas in Uptown' And 'An Honest man' bootlegs.

Both are rehersals and are equally incredible.

There is a section where he is working out an arrangement for anotherlover and he plays a beautiful piano progression.

I LOVE rehearsal boots!

Are we sure that isn't Lisa?

The wooh is on the one!

Yes, Prince had nothing to do with it...100% sure. Well, let's see....

1. He recorded the songs

2. He lost the keys to the vault behind his couch.

3. He had a party, somebody found the keys, unlocked the vault, and sold the recordings.

Other than that, Prince had no involvement whatsoever!!!

I think I understand what you meant. You meant that in 2010 Prince likely did not call some bootlegger on the phone and leak better quality recordings. That is most likely true. Then again, with Prince, can we ever be sure? The only sure thing is that if you are lucky enough to see a concert, he will play more than enough Cover songs to make you think you are seeing some tribute act, and then let the background singers sing too much, or even let them sing lead. Despite all his faults, and odd choices for concerts...I still love the man, and always will. Even if I have to pay $77 for a floating Jellyfish on the internet that he killed!!!

Yes, we are. He is giving musical instruction and using the piano to demonstarte what he's looking for to brown mark and eric.

love it. cool

during "The Bird Rehearsal" about 18:40, i thought the bass line started to sound like Rick James' "Give It to Me Baby",

then a few seconds later Prince says, "it sounds like that Rick James song". lol

Hence why I put: "All I can say is I can 100% guarantee you P had nothing to do with this or any other Free label recording being released."

It should go without saying that it's his music so of course he's involved in that respect, but he certainly didn't authorise its distribution.
