Best 10 seconds of Prince music ever recorded... Not the best song, per se. The best 10 seconds Prince ever recorded.
A few votes:
Last 10 seconds of Wonderful Ass. Are you shitting me? You know how when you you've hit prime tree all night and you get to the point where you get up off your ass, your mouth waters...I mean your arms flail uncontrollably, and you march around the room? Well, that's what happens to me during the last 10 seconds of Wonderful Ass. And I'm stone-cold sober. Purple music does the same to ya brain, ya'll.
Dance 4 Me 4:13-4:23 - "You make me want to pick up maracas and. just. shake." I spaz out again. Synths build to hyperdrive. Reminds one of the Electric Chair SNL performance at the end when P loses it and slices that guitar perfectly with the klaxon-like synths. Unadulterated, scalding, eviscerating funk.
She's Always In My Hair (new mix) 6:20-6:30 - The culmination of one of the best songs in the history of music. The spiraling, ethereal keys. The pounding drums. The finishing finger cymbals with the otherworldly truncated ascendo akin to the beginning of Erotic City. Like you've snorted 3 lines of purple crack.
Blue Limousine 5:53-6:03 - "Still no siiiign of my baby's blue limouuusiiine." The purplest purple ever not put on Purple Rain. Hints of Lady Cab Driver, Little Red Corvette, She's Always In My Hair, 17 Days and When Doves Cry all in 10 seconds. Those arms are twitching like when Possessed turns into Irresistible Bitch in Syracuse 1985. And them legs are marching.
Love 4:55-5:05 - "BOUNCE....Awwwwwwww shake that thing c'mon...awwwwwww bounce it baby". Or maybe the following 30 seconds. Whatever. Scintillating. Like 8 straight bong hits except the only smoke you inhale is that Purple Haze from the master of drop-dead, killer funk.
What are your votes for the best 10 seconds of The Purple One's musical legacy? [Edited 8/15/10 22:48pm]

Oooh this is a fun thread. Hmmm...
"Billy Jack Bitch" 4:51-5:01 Easily one of his funkiest songs ever put on wax and the horns build up to a crescendo before crashing down like a waterfall. Amazing, amazing, amazing.
"We Can Funk" 4:10-4:20 The backing vocals kick in over the "You can funk me baby. I'll funk you." lyrics and the horns are darting in and out over those pounding drums.
"The Ballad of Dorothy Parker" 2:40-2:50 When he says, "Lemme tell you what I did (ooooh-wa!)." the hairs on my arms stand up.
"I Know" 3:48-3:58 (also 4:10-4:20) Where the track breaks down, hits the wah-wah, then kicks back in with a resounding "YES!" You can't find shit like this anywhere else.
"Joint 2 Joint" 4:36-4:46 Track breaks down and the falsetto kicks in with funny lyrics. Classic Prince swagger. "Let me caress your nappy hair" comes right after and its one of the few times Prince has made me crack up upon first listen.
There's others, but this is a few of my fav.

Couldn't agree more on We Can Funk. That's when he turns it up a few notches on a track where's he's already turned it up 10 notches from the get go. P has a funny way of stoppin' the juice. I mean adding the juice.

Very good thread! It sheds light on the music and the feeling of a song, which is talked about so little over here...
I've got a few nominees:
Shhh (3:56-4:06) I think this is one of the best "break downs" in the history of drumming. The singing and the lyrics and explicitly sexy and erotic and this is one of his best screams ever, although it's short. I also love the "synth" backing vocals in that part. This part is surrounded by thrilling guitar solos.
I Hate U (2:57-3:07) My favourite Prince song. I'd say that the "court room scene" is the best piece of music ever recorded (you can disagree if you want to; I won't listen to you). His vocals in this part are the most passionate I ever heard him sing. Plus, I love how lyrics, melody and arrangement go hand in hand and expand each other's meaning and power.
If I Was Your Girlfriend (2:50-3:00) Amazing vocals and arrangement. I love the little harmonic shift in the synths there and the overall build-up. Wow.
The part in She's Always In My Hair that has already been mentioned by the OP.
The Most Beautiful Girl In The World [single version] either 2:25-2:35 or 4:05-4:15 because of sheer vocal brilliance.

In Uptown, my favorite line EVER in a Prince song:
"Said to myself said, 'She's just a crazy, crazy, crazy little mixed up dame'"

Sexy Dancer solo guitar thru piano solo, it may be longer then 10 seconds but, it's my favorite part of the song.
Space Universal Love Remix, the intro of that song gives me chills ... Peace ... & Stay Funky ...

Ooh, it'll be fun trying to think of some good examples for this. But I don't think anything will top the one that immediately came to my mind:
"Yo, relative...u just gonna play the line over...gimme this!"
The ten or so seconds right after that.
