I believe u will have the opportunity to see Prince Live sooner than u think. Prince thrives on playing live and will never give it up. I can sense a U.S. tour coming,maybe in small theatres. If u recall, the ONA tour was in small theatres and it was truly magical. Lastly, when u attend your first concert, I want a full review of your experience on the org. I can't wait to read it. My son is 12. he saw his first Prince concert when he was 5!

22 myself and its good to see fellow baby Prince stans around here. Everybody seems so old and bitter that it kinda sucks the fun out exploring all of his greatness.

Is 22 young enough? I have been telling everyone at work that I was born in 1988, and that I got into Prince 4 years before I was born. I hate the fact that I was a bandwagon Purple Rain fan. I love and hate the fact that the fans that became fans with me would drop off each album release. By the time Come was released, they were all gone. I get to continue to enjoy a new album every year, while they drone on about how Prince lost them with Parade, or Lovesexy, or (insert good to great album here....)

I'm 16 yrs old ) I've been listening to Prince for less than a year, I am OBSESSED. My parents are not from here so they didn't grow up to Prince, really. They said Prince was popular but where they were from Michael Jackson/Beegees/Queen was something that they listened to more (ironic, my parents are from two totally different countries, ). So yeah, they weren't big on Prince. I had to discover him on my own. Here's how it started...

I have a pretty good ear for music, so when I hear a beat of rhythm of a song I take real notice. Hey, I listen to mostly older music (stuff like MJ, Queen, and stuff that my parents listened to, as well as classic rock like Cream or the Doors, to the Beatles, to you name it), but I listen to some stuff like Britney Spears a bit too, I guess because I kind of grew up to her. I really like "Slave 4 U", and of course, this was more popular when I was younger, but I was listening and I couldn't figure out the way to describe kind of the "type" of music. I was real curious, so I went on Wikipedia (as anyone would hahaha) and it described it as some "urban core" music. I also read that it had a beat similar to Nasty Girl. I of course, the curious girrllly that I am, looked it up. I recognized the song. And there my Vanity obsession began!

Side Note: Vanity is freakin' gorgeous. I am not the type of person to be obsessed or infatuated with celebrities like this, but MY GOD. She is just perfect !! And yes, I am a female. hahhaha

Anyways, from Vanity, of course, I caught onto Prince and I love all his music. The emotion he displays in his music and the way he does it, I don't know, it's just perfect. He really is a genius. And now I have to biggest crush on him and it sucks because he's what, like 50ish? And I was two when he got married. Life is never fair. The stars I truly love live in the past. But it's okay, because they stay in my heart.

Maybe I didn't know of their music for the longest of time, but I assure you I will be a fan forever.

it sucks ive never been able to see him live, sure he's not up to par in his dancing as his was back in the day, but just to watch the man rock out would be sum sweet shit!

Yup the friends know I'm a Princey fan and think I'm crazy but they still respect me and even call me up when they hear somethin about him or see him on tv or something. Even past boyfriends had to knew and accepted that he came first before them (b/c that's who I really wanted 2 b with! lol)

Adults who are moderate Prince fans are so surprised how much I know about him and his music than they do.

The problem with being a young Prince fan is that I've never seen him as well. Wish I could though. Wouldn't care if I had to spend all my money to see the man, whatever the cost. I just really want to witness that "aura" around him that many claim and I believe he has. But it's great to know that I'm not alone in this, even kids younger than I, it's amazing and should continue. Because that's truly what the man aimed for and deserves

Im 17, and was a Prince fan out of the womb. I saw him when I wAS 11 on the musicology tour with my dad in L.A. ... I grew up on his music and know every era and lyric and everything lol
