Well, if the way people act here on the .org is indicative of their age, then the average age here should be around 15.

I think 27 is young!
Yes 27 is young, I just turned 30 this year. I don't know what to expect but so far it's pretty good |

I thought it wasn't, I thought it was normal to be into him, mj and madonna since I was young until I realized way later on in life people my age were into boybands and I couldn't relate even if I liked songs from afar. |

There is no way I will be able to go to europe to see him though... I don't have a passport and I know my parents would not do anything to help me get there. I would give up my arm just to seem him in concert. Hes my idol. I just don't know what to do.
And sorry that you never got to see MJ Purple Music is my drug and I'm jonesin!!!!! |

I feel your pain girl, I really really do. I got tickets to see mj but was so stressed about planning the actual trip cause it was all in my hands and the thought of giving up on it was driving me crazy. And for half my life , I was hung up on seeing him and stressful times would get me thinking about seeing him one day and getting hyper, and becoming addicted to that and being cut off hurts like hell.
I have seen janet many times but it's not the same, if I ever see her again, I think I will be crying for him all over again |

Im a guy... but anyways... It does hurt when I think I will never get to see him in concert.
But what your talking about is right. I feel like that a lot. I actually think about it everyday and it just stresses me out. Every time I think about it I end up thinking I will never be able to go.

Sorry about the mistake, and yeah it is addicting when you love your idol so much and want to see them so badly. Also I would feel like the more I listened to him or danced to him or enjoyed him, the closer I was getting to seeing him someday, and was ecstatic with my tickets! It was worse cause it almost happened, if it wasn't going to happen, it would have been different. It was almost a month later I realized I'm never going to see him and never meet him cause I just wanted him back, period and being with his kids.
But I found from experience I was running from life stress too when overdoing it, so it's ok to be excited but also live your life and find excitement in that, easier said than done cause Prince is a great entertainer too. I haven't seen him yet though he has great stage presence but I plan to someday. |

I'm 15, born in 1994... my parents weren't huge fans, they just had the "hits" cd no. 2. But after Prince's superbowl performance I wanted more, found that cd, (that looked as though it had been opened once). The first track was "Controversy" and I knew after the first thirty seconds I was going to love this whole album, and I did. 300-something songs later, I'm still a fan. My parents don't approve, (turned out the cd was a gift from someone) but I remind them that there are a lot worse things I could be doing than listening to Prince.
When I brought the Controversy album many years ago I knew I was going to love his music. It's fun to read how the young fans got turned on to Prince. You make a point with your parents. I'd prefer kids listening to Prince over most of the manufactured acts out today.
You'd think that'd be how my parents felt too. But then, they're more the classical music type, so practically anything with words offends them... (well, at least for my dad). But my younger sister listens to anything and everything top 40, and my parents haven't tried to take away any of HER cd's.
the org is a nice place to rant though "For what it's worth, you're somewhere here on Earth..." |

I'd still consider myself young, even though I'm officially grown-up already.
Oh, bummer! It just dawned on me that it could be illegal for me to shag some of you beautiful lady Prince fans. What am I on here for, then? |

I believe u will have the opportunity to see Prince Live sooner than u think. Prince thrives on playing live and will never give it up. I can sense a U.S. tour coming, maybe in small theatres. If u recall, the ONA tour was in small theatres and it was truly magical. Lastly, when u attend your first concert, I want a full review of your experience on the org. I can't wait to read it. Think positive young one. "The fanbase I have now, they're so sophisticated, they almost expect me to do the unexpected." -Prince |
