I Would Die 4 U / Doves Cry Appreciation This may have been discussed before sorry I've missed that train.
I have never went to any of his concerts
I did have this thing when I was a teenager on how I was going to set the path on my life. I would graduate from high school; go to college or join the military to be stationed at Minneapolis to meet him or go to his concerts, it didn't matter how I was going to do it. Well, these plans didn't go into play for some reason. However, I did go into the military and got stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.
I wanted to be his lover but I wouldn't stand a chance because I didn't fit in that beautiful girl category. I have this cute or I'm cute for a brown skin girl thing going on (this is what guys would say) This pretty boy I have liked in college told me he was looking for a dime piece and I told him I am a dime piece. His response was no and he described what a dime piece was and boy did that hurt let alone how I felt about myself. That's another subject for another time. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
As you could tell I don't post that much here. Please be gentle. | |

I see you've been here for quite some time Miss Thang, but yes I Would Die 4 U and When Doves Cry are definitely classics
With that said...
Please never say this again (@ the bolded)
If you're American the media is full of bullshit asserting that women with melanin are somehow sub-par to ... well, European looking people. This bothers me whenever people ever say (implicitly or explicitly) bullshit like that.
I could write a thesis about this
