I can't believe I didn't see Friend, Lover, Sister, Mother, Wife on these lists. It is my all time favorite. There were a lot of good ones on emancipation.

it was written during probably the happiest period of Prince's life.

Almost Everything from that album is a lovely ballad.

I would refrain from making sweeping generalizations/assumptions about Prince's life. You have absolutely no idea what was "probably" his happiest period in his life. This is part of the whole fetishization of Prince's personal life that happens here. Admire the music all you want, but why is it important to project your feelings onto his life?

I am surprised that "Insatiable" has not been mentioned more.

And "The Arms Of Orion" may be unpopular on this site, but i like it very much.

Another good one would be "I Love U In Me."
