OK Im a hug gigantic P fan/friend/whatzevaz and I JUST bought this from Target over a month ago. I haven't opened it up yet. SO what songs should I be looking forward to hearing??? Tell me the good ones and do me a favor and just skip the middle album please?

It sounds like Prince was paid quite a bit upfront, or at least guaranteed a certain amount of money to distribute through Target, no matter how many units were sold.

So, Prince has his money regardless. Target is stuck with lots of CDs which they want to get rid of and want to make any money they can, thus the ever diminishing price point.

Open it and listen to it, you might like it. Though there are no pretty pictures of him.

Finally picked one up today. They had about 50 of them on the bottom shelf of the popular music aisle. The price sticker on the cd is $4.99, but there was a ragety ass "Limited Time Clearance $.99" sign half hanging off on the floor in front of the stacks of CDs.

I was in Hmv yesterday in one of the megastores and the Prince albums were well over a tenner. If my memory serves me correct; Lotus was £15, PR and SOTT was roughly the same, Ultimate was about £20 and PR film was £7. The only album under a tenner was Controversy at £6. Actually they only had a handful of cds, most if not all ive already mentioned so someone must be buying them. Or they couldn't be bothered to re-fill it lol

Maybe we should have a thread on where to find the best bargains on Prince CDs to keep people informed. Especially helpfull for newbies that still need to build up there collection. The bargains in Belgium are Ultimate and SOTT for 6,90 euro.

This says the set is 4.99 with 99 cent shipping.

Not that I won't get it at 4.99, I need some unsealed copies anyway. But I'd rather by 10 copies at 99 cents each than spend 50 bucks on an album I only like 1.5 discs worth.

Checked the site as well as it would have been a plan to order them and have it shipped to the house of my colleagues parents, but indeed, than the price stands at 4,99. The colleague is visiting the US but only at the end of September and I don't know how long the promotion will last.

Call me crazy.... I bought 2 copies last year and a friend at work brought be a copy thinking I didn't see it out.. ( silly girl).

Anyhow the Targets by me had about 100 copies on the shelf.... I bought 20 of them for .99 cents. I also bought 8 copies of the 21 nights book for $4.99 each to give to a couple of friends.

Can't beat a good Prince clearance when you see one.

My friend said the new Harlem store did not have any Lotusflow3r CDs. I assume that they never stokced any because the store opened after the CD was released. Has anyone see the CD for sale in any NYC area store and how much did the sticker price say?

Mine too. I went to go grab some extra copies for friends and whatnot and saw they were 4.99. Not 99 cents. Oh well. If you still don't have it that's a great price.
