Some light jazz fushion stuff mixed with rock and pop elements and occasional hip hop interludes showcasing some of his spiritual beliefs as well as frustrations with the music industry's treatment of him.

I'm actually being Facetious. lol

I'm tired of the horns and the jazzy "new orleans sound" he keeps infusing his stuff with live.

I'd love to just hear something.... different.

I think that's what's kind of making me bored with Prince. No matter what he puts out now, it just sounds like something he did back in the day that was better the first time around. I miss hearing ATWIAD and going confuse razz and then Parade and going eek confuse razz, and then SOTT and going eek, confuse and razz

I don't necessarilly need him to completely reinvent himself. Just throw something new at me from time to time. lol

Oh well, at least all the new stuff is 'good enough'---that's much better than the plastic years.

.

Facetious?

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Electronic club-dance...one LP with 16 strong tracks in the vein of Black Sweat, Strange But True, Lavaux or Laydown...

Yes, I'm sure. If it isn't, you can blame Webster. lol

Deephouse or breakbeat maybe. Especially in the UK there have been great releases from this mix of weird rhythms & other instrumental skills.

I like that.

Neo-Classical, Folk Funk, and I like that his recent album has a touch of the New Wave instability like on the 1st song. I would like him to do more New Wave along with the 2 I mentioned previously.

Alexa de Paris, Sometimes It Snows in April

I like how Alexa de Paris has a similar feel 2 God the Love Theme

I loved the feel of the music during the Parade Dream Factory (unreleased stuff especially) the Family Sheila E.

It had a mature feel to it.

METAL(will never happen!) & maybe some acid-jazz... possibly in the same vein as NEWS but a bit edgier.

Blues. I've liked most of the stuff he's done already, Zanalee, 5 Women, The Ride, ect. But I think he could take it even further. Hendrix called some of his early stuff, psychedelic blues. There's a lot you can do with it.

Yes yes... I wanted 2 have a whole album of Alexa de Paris, an honest man, screams of passion style music with strings and classical vocals even...but like all things Prince..he plays with something 4 a bit then discards it. that includes music styles, spiritual themes and sadly even protege's & people neutral

Wake up children, dance the dance electric... there isn't much time.... who farted? whofarted ...was it u? disbelief

Yeah, I could see him recording a great blues/rock album but I'm not sure what straight blues would sound like coming from Prince.

He should go monumental. Like Yanni orchestra stuff, all classical instrumental with the exception of an electric guitar.

"Not to sound cosmic, but I've made plans for the next 3,000 years," he says. "Before, it was only three days at a time."

Another instrumental album every now and then. Either on the jazzy tip or the more experimental jammy side like C-Note and NEWS. I like both.

I would love another acoustic album along the lines of The Truth or One Night Alone (Piano & Vocal). More so The Truth, though.

I want another full band funk album like TRC and 3/4 or Musicology. But that may just be my intense longing for that band in particular. John Blackwell, Rhonda Smith, Maceo Parker, Eric Leeds, Candy Dulfer, Renato Neto and Prince. LOVED that group of musicians in ANY combination.

Harlepolis

As long as there's a constant organ playing in the forefront(ala "Hot Thing" intro from SOTT film) and not just occasional, he can do whatever the HELL he wanna do.

Sing "Old McDonald Had a Farm" for all I care. Hell, a WHOLE album with nothing but his voice and a vintage B3 Hammond is enough to make me content,,,,for a long while at least lol
