I don't understand the hate. Everybody loves me is a terrific song.

A lot of people on this site despise this track and I don't get their venom at all. While not a typical Prince song the production is great the hook
and the sub hook/change in tempo is moving and the song just works. While im not I'm not into the album as much as I was on first listen Compassion ELM and a couple more are very good songs.Prince is 52. He stated rightly himself in the 85 Rolling Stone interview that every musician has only so many notes in him and while he'll never write a Purple Rain again he can still make some very enjoyable music.

I agree. Great hook, playful song, feels kind of tossed off in a good way. Reminds me of something he would have given The Time or Vanity 6. Plus coming at the end of the CD, it's such a nice surprise.

I love Everybody Loves Me.cool

Yup I love it, it's God awfully cheesy and in honesty sounds like it could be a 'JEDWARD' song (sorry in advance ppl), but It lifts me up if I feel down smile

I've had a 360 like I had with his.

First couple of listens I detested it.

After 5 listens I loved it and still do. It's full of joy, a great song.

like I said in the other thread - the lyrics say "there ain't no shame in having a good time" which is what this song is.

I don't get the hate either. "The worst song he's ever done"? Seriously? There are at least 150 worse songs.

It reminds me of the Time's "After Hi School" or the studio version of "Broken." Fun, silly, rockabilly synth-pop. I understand if it's not your thing, but the amount and intensity of hatred for this song amazes me.

That would be a 180 rather than a 360.

Its not bad. I like the music actually. But the lyrics send it straight to a PBS program, seriously.

It makes me mad though, cause it has a nice melody and these are the lyrics he writes for it. Lol.

Can't argue that it's not PBS song, lyrically. I like what he did with Song Of The Heart. He should do a children's album or something for Disney ala Elton John's Lion King. I know this is not what most of us want to hear, but I could see it being well-received.

I dig it. It's funky, funny and smarter than people may think.

Oh god, I tried not to respond, but my OCD is kicking in.

It's a 180--not a 360.

I actually did a 360 though. I hated the song. Then sort of didn't hate it. Now I hate it again.

It's f**king awesome!

It does take a couple of listens, but I think it proves Prince can still cut original and fresh sounding records which easily outclass the current chart. He should release it!!
